She was definitely more of a rapper when she was underground.....and her last album was more Hip Hop than Pop.....and she raps better than every current female rapper in the mainstream to be honest (and can outrap most of the dudes too)

Drake has never been a bad songwriter tho. The structure n feel in his music has been there from day one. Drake is also a performer hence the moniker one take Drake.

Doja never had a great rap performance like Nicki on monster or Cardi on Motorsport.

Doja like Kendrick and Tyler is more image purveyor than culturally relevant performer. They’re theatrical, but if you strip them of the bells and whistles (fat butt, empty disses/critical acclaim, shock tactics), not much is happening. Idk wat it means that all of them are from LA. I guess it’s the home of theatre and image. Those things are important but a movie with good cinema but void of great performances ain’t really the makings of an enduring film.
