Pointless a$s remake

I can tell from the trailer they don't have the charisma of Wesley Snipes and Wood Harrelson

The original was literally just Snipes and his boys going in on the white boy (Woody). I mean what do you expect from the remake?

It doesn't look interesting enough for me to waste 2hrs watching but if anything I'm expecting hella white boy jokes and some hood comebacks from Harlow.

so the industry plant is out here making terrible remakes that no one asked for?

I swear they want this kid to become a star so bad, the machine is working overtime to try and find a way for him to appeal to the masses.....

when his album was considered subpar and he didn't have a real follow up to best friends and what's poppin they started sweating, plus that drake feature song went double wood.

Same director that did the House Party remake. Aint watch that bullsh1t and definitely aint finna watch them ruin my favorite movie.

I'm good. They could've just made a movie with a different title but had to go for the grab that clearly no one went for, atleast not me.

Between this and some of the episodes on Power: Ghost this is the first time I've felt embarrassed by the "ghetto stereotypes" on tv

What happened to all the black chicks who said he was that guy & respected black women more than black men do? Didn't go to support their savior huh smh trash a$s remake...didn't waste my eyes or time even watching it disrespecting the original classic like that...& Woody Harrelson could ball a little while being authentic...Wesley & woody are an underrated movie duo even the poster for the original film was so cool that you wanted to watch the movie

I think it was better than corny. I agree that it’s easy to bag on a movie simply because it’s a remake. Same sh1t with House Party which actually was an enjoyable film in my opinion

They could’ve done a better job with the final tournament but more importantly, the final game since as others said, didn’t feel like a high stakes game.

Aside from that, got some chuckles out the jokes and the music was on point

Can you imagine if they tried to make a prequel to training day in today's day?

This was watered down, but not completely unwatchable. Shouldn't have been called white men cant jump. Few bright spots though It was good to see Johnny Basil (Mobay, lt. Daniels) RIP, Slick Johnson steals the show in 2min, Vince Staples can act even if he's just acting like Vince Staples. Teyana Taylor was good but they combined the Rosie Perez character and Wesleys wife, and both their characters were better on their own.

Wesley and Woody chemistry and acting was just too good no way they could recreate that. But they took the whole dunking narrative out of the plot. When Jack Harlow dunks its not even a thing forreal.

Jacks character isn't even under pressure he is trying to get money for stem cells or his girl. Billy was getting chased by the mob. Jack lives in a rent controlled apartment in Beverly Hills. Billy was in the motel. Jack drives a Porsche.

Sidney Dean and this new guy don't compare at all either. Sidney was trying buy a crib. I don't know what this guy was trying to do. Dude was some kind of head case. Sidney was confident the whole time it was Billy who had mental issues. Plus dude aint even talk sh1t. Imagine Sidney Dean not talking his sh1t


There is no nudity limited cussing. And the basketball scenes lack that cinematic touch films like above the rim and white man cant jump put on mediocre basketball to make it look good. The basketball scenes look like some budget big 3 sh1t.

The movie really falls flat when trying to recreate the scene where they get a gun pulled on them. Some guy pulls out a flame thrower ...

And towards the end of the movie someone says we goin sizzler... does sizzler even exist anymore?

Jack is 6’1 at best. I was on set with him. He was poring so much Henny out to everyone they had to give him 3 bottles so it still looked like it was full. Lol

He had an acting coach on set with him at all times. She would speak to him and give him help between takes.

He didn’t want to hold the gift between takes during the birthday party. So someone from production would hold it for him and give it back between takes.

He kept holding up the production 30 minutes to an hour at a time because he had other business calls he had to take during the taping.

Vince was really down to earth and talking with everyone. This was my second time meeting him on set. Real cool.

Sinqua was really coo also, very down to earth. He was talking to everyone.

Hell no Wesley and Woody were both hollywood A list actors these guys are C or D list at best
