I read that on top of her being Bi-polar and fighting addiction and suffering with manic depression she also was involved in some lesbian rships.. The majority of her songs are about failed love and her unhappiness and are quite frankly just depressing songs that put u in a low mood..She said in her autobiography that she sabotaged a perfect rship with a Japanese man because she was afraid of love and they were engaged.. The lady was extremely talented but Also very troubled sad story RIH Phyllis

I remember as a kid, hearing this song ("Living All Alone") on the radio and in the crib, and thinking "man, this song is so depressing". Probably before I even knew what the word depressing meant. I liked her vocals, it was just the overall production of this song, it had a eerie feeling to it. Especially compared to what was on the radio at the time. Imma older head, there was a lot of R&B ballads on the radio, and this song didnt sound like the regular heartbreak music. It was something different that didnt feel good. And Im a young, like 9 years old maybe....

And when I heard that she committed suicide, this was the first song/thing I thought of.

I always loved her appearance in one of my absolute favorite movies ever Spike Lees "School Daze". RIP Queen

I've seen the clip before but I never checked into her music. Just clicked one of the videos in the thread this Living All Alone song is beautiful gonna go deep dive the catalog. Her voice was powerful.

Facts...........I didnt even know HBCUs exist before the movie "School Daze". School Daze and the show Different World is responsible for millions of blacks going to HBCUs and & colleges in general.

Entertainment like that dont exist for a reason. Need the black youth to focus on being rappers and IG th0ts.
