our teeth like bears say we are omnivores

carnivores have different teeth
People are so determined to ignore the obvious clues to an optimal human diet so they can chase fat/salt highs eating bacon 24/7

One look at our teeth would tell you that we evolved to eat mostly plants and some meat. Like you said all the mammals with teeth like ours eat like 60-75% plants. Not rocket science

Worked great for me once I got adjusted but that adjustment period of one to two weeks sucks (ain’t no flu but i get constantly thirsty and have trouble sleeping)... if you fu#k up even once you gotta put that time in again. You got to be disciplined

Keto does a number on your gut & digestive system long term. Can't wait to see how many of y'all have debilitating conditions at retirement age since y'all think this high fat, dairy, red meat sh1t is a game
No keto actually doesnt harm your "gut" or digestive aystem.

Its actually has studies linked to poaitive aiding gut microbes and the digestive aystem.

Keto or primal actually has shown positive health effects like regulation of blood sugar, lowering cholesterol, positive brain hralth, and etc.

People I am a fitness trainer, and going Keto can lead to kidney stones. And anyones who’s had them will tell u it’s worst than child birth. Be careful. there’s a good and bad to everything tho.

But they don’t tell u the bad. Only the good.

That's cause Keto is supposed to be done with Animal fats and low oxalates foods. Oxalates cause Kidney Stones. Just because something is low or no carb does not make it an optimal Keto food.

Lol fitness trainer. Smh

Keto does not cause kidney stone mineral imbalances do, but isnt tied to keto, but general nutritional intake

Hydrate and make sure you have tour daily intake of minerals and you will not develop them

Nothing to do with keto though.

Our digestions says otherwise, Humans are very unique animals. Our physical tools don't indicate a pure carnivorous animal, but our digestion doesn't show a pure herbivore or even a plant based omnivore either. Most herbivorous mammals have the gut to ferment most plants, humans do not. That's why we can't just eat leaves and grass out the ground. It's also the reason people see can see corn and beans in their feces, because although it's a plant doesn't me we can digest it.

Secondly all animals are on a high fat diet, technically. Look up Mountain Gorillas( any herbivore really). They actually are on a high fat diet. Their gut converts cellulose(plants) into fatty acids. Humans don't have that, so where do we get our fat from? We can't convert cellulose into fat, we have to ingest it.

Thats because we evolved from great apes so we share some of the anatomy BUT our digestive system, skeletal structure and brain went in a completely different direction.

Humans and great apes (bonobos, chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans) share a common gut anatomy, consisting of a simple stomach, small intestine, small cecum terminating in an appendix, and a hindgut consisting of the large intestine, rectum, and anal canal. Nevertheless, significant differences have been reported in their gut proportions . While the large intestine represents the majority of the great ape gut volume, the majority of the modern human gut volume consists of the small intestine.

Our gut is carnivore bias, not plant bias.

The diets of hominids and/or early human populations improved, in part, due to cooking and the increased abundance of animal products obtained through scavenging, hunting, fishing, and dairy consumption. In contrast, great ape species in the wild derive a significant amount of their total daily metabolic energy needs through the fermentation of lower quality plant materials in their hindguts. Although hindgut fermentation also occurs in humans , there is evidence that wild great apes derive greater amount of total daily metabolic energy from this process than do humans.

So we can eat plants but we won't get the same benefits from them as our cousins as our digestive system is meat evolved for animal products.

its not the red meat thats a problem. meat doesn't make it to colon to cause a digestive issue, its absorbed in full by the body as its only protein, fat and water. there is nothing to cause a GI issue. most digestive issues are from vegan and vegetarians as the GI track has to do extra work to filter the undigestable parts of the plants. plants have internal defenses that poison mammals and insects. meat is already disarmed upon killing it.

the colons job is to get rid of waste if you were to only eat meat, you would rarely have to take a sh1t because the body uses all the meat and has no waste to get rid off. so a digestive issue is very unlikely.
Thread over pure truth. Would sh1t every 3rd day on carnivore and felt fantastic but the meat had me ready to go drastic at the first inclination of a hater.

Basically this. I maintained keto for 3 months and dropped from 220 to 190 in that time. I was lifting consistently and my strength actually dropped off slightly. Not terribly noticeably but I did realize I wasn’t getting any stronger.

I was eating eggs and bacon for breakfast. Snack on peanuts throughout the day until lunch. Grilled chicken salad. Just the chicken, Parmesan and some ranch or French dressing. Then I’d have a rotisserie chicken salad later for dinner. Or mix it up, spinach, broccoli and shrimp for dinner. It was alright but I really missed carbs. Like bad. So I relapsed horribly. Ballooned up to 230. Now I’m on my way back down again. Part keto. Low carb. I’m back at 205. fu#k this sh1t is hard.

Keto def works and as with all diets, it has pros and cons. Most people never do keto correctly or for long enough to see the real benefits.

But I luv food and we only live once... so I just try to eat a balanced meal. Carbs def aren't too high but I eat them just not like before or over indulge.

There are people who have lived passed 100 and still smoked cigarettes, sometimes health is pure luck.

But that bi#ch look like she got a nice ass, fk what she talking about, bend over hoe.. Thats all I want to see.

It already fu#ked my gut up is even though it got me a sixpack.

I don’t recommend it unless you know 100% what u doing.

Now I gotta do a 1 to 2 month “clean gut” diet just to normalize my stomach again..

Its quite simple just stick to a diet you can sustain long term and fit into your lifestyle. Losing weight too fast can fu#k up your hormones and you lose muscle along with fat and water weight. This aint a race its a marathon word to nip
