Drake approached this the correct way.

Definitely had a lot of people in the writing room with him to make sure the bars were up to snuff to hang with Kendrick’s verse on “Like That”.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Kendrick won’t respond to this, however.

Metro created this proxy war to wage words with Drake; Kendrick’s involvement in this beef doesn’t make a lot of sense. Nothing disparaging was said of Kendrick on First Person Shooter; so much so, in fact, J Cole even started the top 3 list off with Kendrick first, Aubrey and then himself — which is how many people view the top 3.

Kendrick has sent subs at Drake for about 6 years now so you could argue that it finally came to a boil on “Like That”.

But it still doesn’t change the fact Metro used Kendrick’s preexisting contempt for Drake as a way to get at Drake.

I’d just like to know what came first: Kendrick approaching Metro or Metro approaching Kendrick.
