Pirates of course have a lot of buzz around Paul Skenes, but meanwhile Jared Jones has been lights out so far in his first couple of MLB starts. A lot of strikeouts so far, 10 in his debut, yesterday he was on fire again with 6 SO in the first 3 innings, 5 innings pitched total, 59 pitches 1 hit and 0 runs allowed. He was then subbed off for whatever reason and that's when it went downhill for Pittsburgh. Will be interesting to watch if he can keep this up, only 22 years old.

Having Diaz back and investing in the bullpen is paying off early.

Think it’s load management because this is first season in the majors and his fastball can reach 100 mph and that tends to be a risk for injury with starting pitchers lately. They’re being cautious on purpose, probably.
