You're missing the point and the team success after an off year doesn't have anything to do with what im talking about. Im just not a knick fan impressed with mediocrity from our front office. He was only a 11-12 min backup because of our coach now we have a hole at backup PF when we could've let him play out his contract on his rookie deal and let him walk next season instead of acquiring our 15th 2nd round pick. Harkenstein and Sims is the answer at backup PF? I swear Knick fans are just ok with making it to the playoffs unless theres another play here i dont get it
I don't like the trade but letting him walk for nothing makes sense to you? C'mon man knock it off!

I dont kno how I feel about this divencenzo pickup. He’s a good 2 way player, but way too many guards. That leads me to believe the Knicks won’t pay quick, and he’s on the move. Don’t think they’re done making moves. Not really nothing out there to move on, but maybe another star requests a trade. If not, we see what we got this year, and make moves next off season to get the star New York wants. Next off season free agency is gonna be wild compared to this one. Hope obi the best, but we knew he wasn’t getting the minutes over a 2X all star & all nba player. We just wasn’t willing to accept it. Gonna be interesting to see how they distribute the minutes with these guards if we decide to keep them all

What are we going to do with two 2nd rd picks? Makes more sense than having a 6'4 guard play as our backup PF. I guarantee you we do nothing with those picks. To be honest after sleeping on it I'm not upset at the move just the fact that thibbs is pulling strings playing favorites.

Where our team currently stands with our rotation set at 9 players we will not do anything unless guys leave. Sims and duece hardly play they are break in case of emergency players. With Donte in the mix duece is definitely not playing. Then what do we do with the 1st rd picks we will likely draft. We were tossing away 2nd rd picks last off-season

Mcbride was a rotation player last year and so was Sims and did a good job.

Mitch is our starting center and a beast.

Stop acting like 2nd rd picks don't matter because they do. You're going to need them to fill out a roster, especially if they make a big trade.

Im tired of typing the same sh1t over Duece was a rotational player until he wasn't when thibbs started playing Jalen 40mins and he got hurt then he reentered the rotation. Jericho Sims got into the rotation cus mitch was hurt. No where in what I typed I said 2nd rd picks don't matter we have a bunch of first some that may concede to fill out the roster where does that leave the 2nd rd picks to play. We just watched the greatest 2nd rd pick of all time win a title so I'd be a fool to say that. I also think IQ is gone we have 6 guys locked up and will be 7 after we extend hart which leads me to believe IQ is gone.

His contract alone is less than what you'd pay for a warm body in the new CBA and his deal is expiring. his $2M deal was like $10-$15M in value to a franchise. The NBA is probably going to investigate the deal because it's sus.

The only reason why you would trade for 2nds is if you're trying to clear cap, $2M doesn't matter to the cap. I think they were just doing Obi a solid and letting him go to a spot where he'll have a future.

It’s not a horrible trade… that’s where Obi’s value was.

You don’t think they surveyed the league shopping Obi to get into the first round of the draft? Pacers had multiple firsts in the draft , & been linked to Obi for years… still didn’t feel compelled to give up a 1st.

They literally drafted a player in the power forward position with the 8th pick. And Walker >> Toppin btw


Teams would give up a first for Quickley or Grimes tho (not saying I want them traded, I’m just saying it’s levels to how the league views them, as opposed to Obi ) .
