K dot always been preachy
The message might be new but the angle isn’t
Them Black Forces mean something breh. Drakians I don’t think this is about you/him/her
I dnt care for drake but im really trying to get into Kendrick music . Im trying man. He kind of makes low replay low-fi music. I like everything from him from section 80 up to gkmc but his newer stuff is tuff to digest
it's about the state of the supposed "culture"
He, as well a whole host of us, is SICK of the bullsh1t.
RESET. THE ENTIRE. THING.
Shoes only means something on the internet. Nobody wears them sh1ts in real life
lol
Do it bother you that everybody else love Kendrick and you on the outside
Talk to the nerd I was quoting. He has over 50 active boxden accounts and no job. I’m sure he’d be willing to part with one for some cash.
ok go chill witha bi#ch and say lets put on some kendrick that bi#ch gone say turn that sh1t off i swear she is
Even "the bi#ches" don't believe this sh1t
K dot always been preachy
The message might be new but the angle isn’t
its tiresome...
its tiresome...
Listen to the other sh1t you like to listen to breh. I don’t ever hear this argument when n1ggas is on records talking about killing each other or being junkies.
Depends where you are. I see plenty folks wearing black air forces
then you aren't paying attention. its get said about that sh1t as well.
Nah Pac & Big are solidified even if you personally disagree. They have the impact that’s still felt 20 years later and their music with the short amount of time they were on this earth is better to vastly better than artists that outlived them.
You mention those things not moving you but that falls into impact. Respectfully who are you to say his impact is very light when someone else can offer a different perspective and say they actually are extremely impactful not just for hip hop but for music?
I will say though, to add to your previous point you were making with (it was actually my apologies) of Kendrick currently writing his legacy, that is true.
So that leads into a thought that perhaps his impact with rappers following his footsteps might not be felt now but could be felt years later when his story is completed. It’s difficult to say based on the climate of where people were artistically & intellectually when Kanye/Wayne came out and even Pac.
We’ve significantly diminished as a society since then and it’s clear in the product we’ve received in the past 10 years.
The issue with a convo like this however is it blends too much into personal preference and muddies what would be a consensus. I could say Mr Morale is a classic ahead of its time based off the themes, the production, the layered story he presented and you could just say nah it was Iite.
I will say though, you make points that I have heard others say in criticism to Kendrick being among the greats and we will have to see everything play out with his next few musical releases. I personally have him top 3 all time after this beef but I do enjoy the conversation, you always offer good debates when I see you engage with posters.

This sh1t is horrible. Beat horrible and he's off beat. Y'all like anything that's pure garbage and will call it a classic after 2 listen. Smh
