I got a family friend whose father owns one of the largest peach farms in the southeast. He been said when they round these folks up they have all of them replaced by 10am the next morning and keep on pushing forward. His dad votes, and donates to republicans lol

It's in the middle of the freeway. The truck was literally doing an illegal uturn that is used only for emergency vehicle in busy freeway.

While everyone in here is playing politics like a jackass I’ll speak on it from a truck drivers perspective.

What’s going on is these foreigners are being brought into the industry and given licenses without being able to speak English. Under the law, a commercial truck driver must be able to speak and read English. So these cats are getting on the road with no understanding of our road signs, don’t care about maintaining safe speeds or following distances of the vehicle in front of them and in general don’t follow traffic laws.

Now why is this a problem? It’s a problem because they’re being pumped out of schools ran by people from their countries and they’re not understanding that they’re driving an 80k lb vehicle and the danger that comes with it. And because they’re subsequently being hired by people from their countries after being given their license, they’re doing all kinds of illegal sh1t like running when they’re not supposed to, running while fatigued and in some cases running multiple logins that track drivers or their companies reset their logs.

A few months back a foreign driver killed 5 people in Texas. The only political part I’ll get into is to say that this sh1t is the governments fault. They went around telling everyone who would listen that there was a truck driver shortage which was never true that way they could drive rates down. We’re seeing the effects of that now with all these non English speaking drivers killing people.

actually had a chat with a truck driver from the same part of the world who came to canada in the 90s and told me about how the new crop aint the same. theres resentment due to the undercutting for loads . and overall being dangerous on the road ...

but as much as it is easy as hell to take out your frustration and anger on them...they are just being used as pawns


they are not the ones who are calling the shots ...they have no power ..they are just jumping at an opportunity to better their lives ...
