mumbling, drill and gang sliding is for the intellectuals
Manufactured rapper
Let's be real, old east coast rap has aged terribly. That imaginary players beat just doesn't hit, where are the 808's?
Beats like that don’t need 808s a real bass guitar locks in with the drums and carries the beat and those old east coast beats are original hip hop and stand the test of time you sound like a young kid
‘I was expecting a Bodak Yellow delivery’
bi#ches in 2025 don’t want to hear rappity rapping
First Lady is capping.. she had some bars
Gloryhole… y’all don’t know who you fu#king wit
If it stood the test of time then that production style would still be relevant today, but it isn't. Boom bap drum patterns are so weak that the rappers that appeal to that lane in present time mostly rap over drumless beats. What does that tell you?
Southern hip hop production styles stood the test of time, not east coast. That's readily apparent, 808's are essential.
You sound crazy I can name a bunch of east coast beats that still get played lol juicy by biggie is one of them and TUNED 808s are fairly new still in hip hop that sh1t ain’t really get popping till post 2008 when Jeezy producers d rich and shawty redd brought tuned 808s to rap music like that it’s still younger than 20 years old every genre has its day and trap music is no different and I’m from the south and produce homie not like I’m just making this up some east coast beats still stand the test of time
Nah, you're not getting what I'm saying—what new rap music coming out from rappers that emerged this decade are rapping over beats that are reminiscent of old east coast beats like imaginary players?
It’s plenty what do you mean? Just cuz it’s not pushed in Main stream don’t mean other rappers not rapping over stuff like that Larry June currensy Dom k Griselda boldly James all rap over beats like that in that lane just cuz the industry don’t push that sound don’t mean it’s not rappers rap over beats like that I hear it all the time it’s just not pushed main stream
