As much as black people retroactively gave Joe Biden hell for taking ownership of the 1994 crime bill, I've come to learn that most black people want tougher laws instituted within our communities. Say what you want about Biden but he gave black people what they were looking for with tough on crime laws when black neighborhoods were riddled with drugs and crimes in the 80s and 90s. I see this as the same approach. There are many black people that welcome more police presence to feel safe. As much as I am against a big brother state, I cannot blame African-Americans for having such sentiment. I think the majority of black people with the exception of the criminals will take issue with more police presence ensuring safety, especially in communities noted for crime and unpredictability.
Now, if one of the law enforcement that Trump has deployed in DC kills an innocent black person, then all hell would break lose. But if the law enforcement can police without any unjust killing, then I think most problem black communities, such as PA and Chicago, would welcome the same level of national guard enforcement.
People just simply respect force and strong leadership, and this is DC takeover is a display of that.
