If he has good advisors, he’s been putting his post NBA income in some financial vehicle that he can’t directly access. Then he tells the judge his income is down.

The court knows but child support is a math formula. If the income doesn’t meet the legal criteria then it doesn’t go into the formula.

The key is knowing the rules and then following them the right way.

As men we gotta stop dealing with and having kids with the wrong women. We need to value ourselves more, make better choices and value our long-term mental and financial health. All of us men are worth $150K - $200K whether we realize it or not. That's how much the average male in the US will pay in child support over an 18-23 year period depending on which state you live in.

I have a 16 year old son. He's a straight A student and a good kid. I tell him his seed is like liquid gold and how much it's worth over the span of a child support order. And that he should value himself and his future. He has a girl he talks to within his friend group, that meets at the mall and goes to the movies every now and again with, but full on relationships are prohibited in my household. His focus is his academics, sports and being the best son and brother he can be. My wife and I sat him down and told him why this is our rule and he fully understands. So one day we're having a talk while I'm cutting his hair. And I'm telling him about the situation I got into when I was around his age and how I don't want that for him. So I asked him what if I told you, you have $150K - $200K on you/in you right now, would you give it to the girl you talk to? His answer was "Absolutely not! Why would I do that!? You know what I could do with that money!?" I said exactly! You could do a lot with that money that would benefit you and your future. Invest it and make more money etc. I told him that's how much your seed is worth over time. And giving away your seed to just any girl/woman is throwing away a significant portion of your future earnings and resources. All for a woman you're not with anymore or were never with to begin with, and a child you're not raising everyday under your own roof. So I told him to love and value himself now, to set up his future self for success. He's a virgin and I told him don't listen to his idiot friends, there's no need or rush to have s3x. Enjoy your teenage and high school years and prepare for college, that's his only focus. We got a teach them early fellas. Who a man marries and has children with are the most important decisions of a man's life. Because either of those decisions can potentially break a man financially. We have to choose better. hes prob putting his money in an off shore/or to a friend and claiming bankruptcy to try to lower child support payments. Rich pepo do this all the time to try and lower there debt payments.
