He wasnt a good rapper, but his delivery was a1.

Also, his influence is very prominent in the rapper game today. (SEE JEEZY AND GUW0P.)

Even with all his failed business ventures bad business deals, corny shoes and cereals, P still one of the best to ever do it.

PERIOD.

Oh yea, that song "heaven for a gangsta" is straight FIRE to this day!!

Let's Get'em. For 15 percent? That ain't enough money to pay my m/f rent.

He was a good performer. Very quotable. And never ran out of words. Shouts to No Limit.

And versatile. Look at 'I'm Bout It' and 'I Got Da Hookup.'

Had a trademark uuugggh. Dude was working out here.

Ive always argued this

Older Master P albums had topics, stories, etc. Eventually he just starting putting out too much music and doing too much outside stuff and then only started rapping cliche type stuff. But in the Ice Cream Man, The Ghettos Tryna kill Me, Tru 2 Da Game era...he was a legit artist to me. Even on Ghetto D. He started phoning it in on Da Last Don-Present

P bars held more weight than the other NL n1ggas cause you know he was the one really making moves and changing the rap game

Even if he wasn't technically as nice lyrically I paid way more attention to what he was saying

Ice Cream Man / True to the Game / Ghetto D P wasn't the greatest rapper, but he had mic presence and a lot of charisma.

And compared to his brother Silkk he was essentially Rakim.

For someone who freestyled most of what youve ever heard him rap, he did good overall. No Master P would not win a battle with Rae Ghost U God or Sheek...

The real question would be

Can Master P rap better than Birdman

Was actually going to make that thread but BX aint paying what it used to since Trump is in office.

Toni Braxton be sangin’, I got n1ggas GANGBANGING!!!

Tru 2 Da Game P was on fire. He was just rapping his a$s off like he knew this was it - this would be what blew them up. It wasn’t that he was the greatest rapper but he had the charisma and just enough skill to keep you quoting him.

It’s what separated him from the Birdmans and the Diddys.

He wasnt a "good" rapper but like others mentioned he made sure his presence was felt as very much the "boss"

P one of the blueprints in this rap game

They just hate on him cuz he was Black owned so they never really promoted him

Plus he was never a rapper rapper so once he blew he was always in some other sh1t

He diversified his portfolio

But from 92 to like 02 he was that guy

And he fathered games name drop style
