That's just raising a family that happens to be productive. I can't find a definition that backs that.
Legacy literally is something tangible that you pass on. It's an inheritance. That's the definition she was using.
What dictionary you read that says a legacy is basically a family tree?
she is right...
Most of yall kids arent sh1t, nor will they be sh1t because you didnt even plan or want the mf in the first place.
Youll be forgotten in 50 years or so. And thats ok
People put a lot of importance on a last name or a jr. but in actuality none of that mean sh1t. Were here for a short amount of time. Make that count, whatever that means to you.
That part was crazy in the book 1984, when the women were all against men and saw s3x/childbirth as something they only did for the good of the government. That way when the kids are born they already belong to the state, and men have nothing to fight for so they allow the government to have complete control… Yea, that part.
So intellectual property isn't a part of your definition of legacy then
I think you made a typo. Based on what I said, intellectual property would be considered part of a legacy. If you pass your brand on to your family, your legacy is the brand. That's if we go by textbook definition.
I bet if you look it up the first definition will ALWAYS be about something physical that you pass on. I can't even find a definition that says anything about family. That's why I asked in the last comment.
At the end of the day, the point I was making was it's hard to disagree with her UNLESS you don't know what a legacy is.
People are more tangible than ideas. IP are intangible assets.
So money in a bank isn't tangible because you can't touch it?
We have to stop giving college students with no life experience platforms to speak on grown up stuff
Your kids carry the legacy. Without someone to tell your story your name dies forgotten by the world. At least you got some type of chance of remembrance with your kids. That being said I dodge reproducing with specimens like her lol
You can convert money into bank notes and coins; therefore, it's a tangible asset.
