All things considered he still had a pretty decent career. Won an MVP and was able to bring his early teams close to a chip. Even after the injuries he was fairly decent and playing meaningful minutes

y'all want to add an actual rebuttal instead of slapping. I listed the "narrative" given for both players. Rose abruptly takes a break on two different teams and fans/media gave it an ok because they felt sorry for him... Kyrie takes a break after Kobe died and fans/media said he's selfish.

Being in your feelings because you keep getting injured is a more acceptable reason to quit on a team than your close friend dying?

Drose is as mentally fragile as y'all claim KD to be and as much of a quitter as y'all say Kyrie is.

This is why I say all these narratives are based on personal biases. People sh1t on dudes they don't like for doing the same thing as people they do like.
I fux with D Rose Kyrie and KD. I don't look at them as quitters

Scottie Pippen has been called one of the greatest NBA players for good reason.

Simply put, without Pippen, there are no championship banners—let alone six—hanging from the United Center rafters. There’s no Last Dance documentary. There’s no “Michael Jordan” as we know him. The 1990s Chicago Bulls teams would not exist as we know them.

So how did the youngest of twelve go from growing up poor in the small town of Hamburg, Arkansas, enduring two family tragedies along the way, to become a revered NBA legend? How did the scrawny teen, overlooked by every major collegiate basketball program, go on to become the fifth overall pick in the 1987 NBA Draft? And, perhaps most compelling, how did Pippen set aside his ego (and his own limitless professional ceiling) in order for the Bulls to become the most dominant basketball dynasty of the last half century?

In Unguarded, the six-time champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist finally opens up to offer pointed and transparent takes on Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson, and Dennis Rodman, among others. Pippen details how he cringed at being labeled Jordan’s sidekick, and discusses how he could have (and should have) received more respect from the Bulls’ management and the media.

Pippen reveals never-before-told stories about some of the most famous games in league history, including the 1994 playoff game against the New York Knicks when he took himself out with 1.8 seconds to go. He discusses what it was like dealing with Jordan on a day-to-day basis, while serving as the facilitator for the offense and the anchor for the defense.

Pippen is finally giving millions of adoring basketball fans what they crave; an unvarnished, “closely observed, and uncommonly modest” (Kirkus Reviews) look into his life and role within one of the greatest, most popular teams of all time.

D Rose good, he just didn't want to be bothered/harassed by the n1ggas overzealous praise...

Dude been rich a nice while now, I don't think he gives a fu#k, minus he never got the championship ring to solidify the "why" once he gets to the H.O.F.

And he still might get one unless he throwing in the towel

D.Rose could’ve really elevated his game after coming back from Injury had he’d learned how to pass more and facilitate. He would’ve been able to extend his career a bit. But now days when I watch him play, I feel like it’s only a matter of time before he retire. Hope he at least goes to GS and gets a chip before doing so.

This n1gga emo...

Drose quits on two teams because he's depressed about being washed up=omg he's been through so much!

Kyrie takes a break from basketball because he loss he brother figure(Kobe)= OMG he's so selfish all he thinks about is himself... Mind you this is after he put several kids through college.

It's crazy how the media creates narratives about folks and fans eat it up.
Everything you type never makes any sense.

Chicago trading him probably did more mental damage than the injury did. That’s why I don’t really blame KD, Harden, Lebron, Or kawhi when they choose self over franchise. Because franchises prove time and again how they would handle it: my best interest over yours.
Yeah man. First and foremost the NBA is a business. I'm an old head and can remember when you bought your favorite players jersey and that was it.

Nowadays it ain't so. Cats have learned about the game within the game.

If he never said what he did about caring more about his body post-NBA, things would be different for him.
