Because the level of technology has evolved since 1776 and there is no way we could win against the US government with the weapons we have. sh1t, we wouldnt have won in 1776 if France wasnt using the US as a proxy war to fight against England.

Yes, the Constitution is written to protect against the government. But the people who wrote it feared mob mentality and open democracy more.

There is a fighting chance… and you really think his VOLUNTEER.. military is gonna just kill its own citizens, family, friends, because some cat with more stripes than him told him too?
