People always ask why New Orleans rapper get killed so much. Because unlike other cities like Atlanta where everyone portrays themselves like scarface and Jason Vorhees like 21 Savage. People out here really rap what they live so when you're really like like that the dirt eventually catches up to you.

It's why BTY was killed
It's why Slim was killed
It's why VL Mike was killed
It's why Lil Derrick was killed
and over a dozen more all of our Rap legends are dead.

it wasnt telly hankton because soulja slim had friends in the hankton organization and BG did too, they both had hankton organization hitmen in all their videos

and to put it in perspective how powerful birdman and master p are, they both were out for blood and couldn't touch either of them n1ggas. i heard birdman ran to atlanta when BG was at his neck tho and both of them had beef that spilled over into atlanta which is rumored as to why T.I. had all them guns

edit: slim didn't have beef in atlanta but his cousin was involved in some beef with BG

The new Orleans newspaper at the time of his death said slim had beef with a rival n.o. Record label. He had beef with P because P bought the rights to one of his albums and when the album blew up Slim thought he should be paid more. P made a good business move but Slim was looking at it from a street perspective. Slim started getting at P and even his son Romeo on songs. Somewhere along the line Krazy got brought into it which is why people think Krazy had him done. The song posted above only adds to the belief. People in new Orleans are big on putting out hits on people like its nothing. More than likely whoever killed him wad paid to. Slim had quite a reputation so just because he had beef with NL doesn't mean it was them. People like that always have multiple enemies who want them gone. He definitely should have left New Orleans. Just like alot if rappers he was real close to blowing up...
