Last nights game got me thinking maybe we should go after Murray, even though i had briefly changed my mind yesterday

I thought our ball movement was poor in the first half, we werent getting too many assists

Murray averaged over 9 assists on a Spurs team that was garbage

He's not flashy, his game is simple and will be effective. Duncan's game was "bland" but highly effective. I understand completely what Melo is saying.

I agree, Mitch is our best interior defender. He makes an impact with his defense and offensive rebounding

And having Hartenstein in the backup role strengthens our bench

I was thinking even if we traded Grimes, Fournier and a 1st for Murray, we would still have Divincenzo, Josh Hart, Mcbride and Hartenstein coming off the bench (when Mitch comes back)

Murray would give us not just another shot creator but a playmaker as well

Tim Duncan was great before he got to the NBA. Also, Kawhi and Jokic are Bland as well. Their playing styles don't pop like say a Ja Morant or Jordan, but they're effective.

i guess the point is that while rj might share the blandness he has no where near the skill sets or foundation of these players
