I don't have a problem with trading him since he wasn't gonna play well here given the coach and situation. My issue was Thibs/ organization not maximizing his value and him ultimately being traded for nothing

Josh Hart is our backup 4 and he's better than obi.

Knicks have $13M to spend to replace Obi. Even if they don't use that, they have 3 months to find a replacement.

Josh Hart cannot play the 4 maybe unless its against a small ball team like the heat. I rather us take this money and go after Jalen Mcdaniels and Mo Wagner rather than have Hart play against bigger guys

idk, maybe 2 2nd rounders is exactly what his value is. couldn't even get a late 1st rounder for him in the draft.

if the rumor is true they only talked to teams that can offer him playing time, that could be a reason his value wasn't higher. probably only looked at lottery teams.

Obi off ball movement and cutting will get him highlights and recognition. Also he'll be paired with Haliburton, who's an All-Star. He will get the votes off that alone.
