So if I give you examples of stars who had to take a pay cut, you assume non-star players wouldn't do or havent done the same?
"Difference makers" take less to play certain teams as well. If stars have to do it, everyone has to do it. This is a business. Owners aren't in this to spend money.
Some "difference makers" have gotten paid some years in free agency because of how much they qualify for based on years in the league and any salary cap exceptions they have that year. If a player is entitled to a max contract due their Bird rights the team is allowed to go over the cap to sign him. If a player has their Bird rights in a year where there's a lot of cap space available, it can lead to huge paydays for them. It's what the players union worked out
The Knicks have OG's Bird rights. There is not a lot of free agents with his skill set in free agency this year, if he plays well we likely would have to pay to keep him. That does not mean we have to pay him the full max, especially if he wants to play here.
New York is also one of the biggest markets in the league there is no shortage of outside endorsement available to players locally. It's one of the selling points of the city. Players more than make up for the salary they sacrifice to put a team together.
you the same dude who said the knicks traded all their assets.
you the same dude who said no star has ever taken a pay cut
you the same dude who said rj contract is not bad when he will be making 28 and 30m soon
what else am i missing
I'm doing my part, everyday
You're a good one I still have RJ and Quick on my voting card
I unfollowed them n1ggas. fu#k the other side
no the fu#k they don’t they can’t recoup that money like stars do 10 mill is nothing to KD in his 30s but it’s a hell of a lot more to OG Anunoby in his 20s
Those guys are also at the tail end of their careers sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars already full of outside endorsements their own shoe linesit’s a terrible analogy it’s not the same
You saying the CEO and the Employee got the same money allocations and principles
Why you explaining the cap man I know what it is that’s my entire point you making my point for me
You can’t read
I said they traded their 2 best YOUNG assets you big dummy, What are their other best young assets?
I said difference makers don’t take pay cuts 99% of the time not stars again you can’t read
I gotta tell you again RJ makes less than Kyle Lowry Cam Johnson John Collins Gordon Hayward?? Paid the same as guys like Terry Rozier?? Not to mention he’s 5 6 years younger than most these guysthat’s a standard contract now
and the cap is going up so it will be an even more team friendly dealStars are making 50M per now dumb dumb
You missing everything you don’t know what the fu#k you talking bout
I’m a nets fan and i refuse to vote for any of them
Randal definitely deserves Mikals spot
Only guard i see on that list that i would say without a doubt is better then Brunson is Haliburton
I think Brunson has surpassed Dame. Hes a much more efficient shooter then Trae. DMitch had a few games where he didnt show up in the 2nd half of playoff games last year against us. Brunsons outplayed him 2 years in a row going back to when Jalen was on the Mavs and they eliminated a better Jazz team while not having Luka for a few of the games
As for Randle, most those names i cant be mad at but Kuzma? I like Kuzma but he shouldnt have more votes then Randle smh
At least yall went out and voted for Bridges.
I'm mad at every name outside the top 3 Julius is having a better season than all of them. I think for brunson I can see why spyda is above tough to argue against 28 5 n 5 and he's kind of a household name
Randle should have more votes than bridges and kp.. everyone else i see a case for.
Randle doesn't have the personality to be an all star vote getter he'll be an alternate
I unfollowed them n1ggas. fu#k the other side
name on front, fu#k da other side
Nit saying that he is him, but Ewing didn't have a "personality" neither.. but i think the fan vote wasnt as strong back then.
That was a different Era and Ewing was popular before becoming a Knick. All star is a popularity contest.
True.. Randle wasn't projected to be the player he is right now
Fam, if that's the case then how come every single NBA player doesn't have a max contract? There will always be role players who take less to stay or play in a good situation.
If there are star players who never got paid their worth, why do you think there are lesser players would?
I honestly don't know what your point is because you change your point every single response. Please go back and look at our conversation and try and walk me through your logic
so you can use the cap going up to justify contracts but we cant got it
