Not sure how I feel about these guys. Swift scares me a bit because well, it's Detroit. I am not sure they have had a good running back since Barry. Unless Watson gets traded, I am not sure he plays this year. Not to mention the legal actions. But, I assume he was cheap so not a big deal. I don't hate Gage but I am not sure if he will be good week to week.
I don't hate Kittle but I don't love him. I think he should still be a top 3 TE but if someone told me he ended top 5 I wouldn't be shocked. I am just a bit worried SF goes Jimmy G and then Lance which has their offense a bit shaky which will hurt Kittle for a few weeks. AJ Green is another late pick so not a big deal but they have Hopkins, Kirk, and Isabella (if he becomes anything).
I think Swift is probably the worst because you could have had another WR or RB there. But what do I know. Could be wrong
Watson was late pick...the caliber of dudes left when I got him i can still get on waiver wire. If Watson don't play I still think Stafford is going to have a big year.
Swift I think will beast if he gets the carries. He was a sleeper of mine last year and when given the chance balled but was splitting with ad. Now ad gone hes set for a breakout year...that was until they act like Williams will take some carries now. Will depend but if he gets 15+ carries a game he's going to ball. Last year in the 3 games above 14 carries he had 18, 20 and 23 points and scored double digits in 4 of his last 5 games played.
Kittle a beast and the point drop off after kelce, kittle, waller is pretty significant...but this was my only fu#ked up pick. fu#kin Jefferson was there and team would be much better...cant believe I missed that somehow. Even went through receivers and didn't see him...not sure if I had my settings fu#ked up or categorized wrong or what. I was going wr and if no elite guy left I was going kittle. Had dhop and Jefferson ranked 3 and 4 on my wr rankings before the draft smh. Could have had both how I had dhop and ridley last year.
Green is a roll of the dice...mainly from age/injury. I got him real late though. They said he's looked phenomenal during camp and should be the #2 behind dhop. If he's just 70% of what he used to be he's going to be a solid wr2 and Murray should take that next step.
Gage is my sleeper and the only guy I reached for but didn't want to take a chance on losing him after somebody scooped Mecole way earlier than i expected. With Julio gone ridley falls into his spot and Gage falls into ridley. I scooped ridley 2 years ago under the same premise and again last year. Gage not as good as ridley and obviously Pitts will be a factor but I think he can have a solid year. In 3 of last 4 games last year with julio out he had 15, 12 and 16 and targeted an average of 9 times in those 3 games.
Also think Mike Davis can have a great year. Shouldn't compete with anybody for carries. Mostert was beasting last year before injured and then they wanted to split carries and sh1t. If sermon or mostert end up getting 15 carries a game and win that spot out they'll kill it. I just need swift, mostert/sermon or Davis to pan out. I think one of them should.
But i usually have the best team in my sh1t and right now I dont feel this was my best draft. But when I compare to last year my team is pretty similar other than cook if Watson plays. Comparison (this year team in parenthesis)....
Watson (watson)
Cook (Jones)
Davis (Davis)
Dhop (dhop)
Gage (ridley...both #2 on atl)
Kittle (kittle)
Succop (zeurlin)
Chiefs (colts)
Bench
Goff (Stafford...upgrade both rams)
Mostert (mostert)
Moss (sermon)
Cooks (aj green)
Lamb (Williams..#1 option on det as of now)
Schultz (jarwin...dal te)
And I had swift but had to drop him midway through when they was splitting. Kind of crazy how similar my team is...but obviously the one who won it for me was cook and dont have him. I basically lost ridley and cook (if Watson plays)
