if the Super Bowl was in NYC and Nas expressed interest and Ken was chosen to perform can you even imagine him putting out a video saying “he was disappointed, broken, and needed time to put himself back together” while not showing love to Kendrick … I can’t imagine that at all

Lil Wayne is a big football fan from the city with enough hits to have a dope halftime performance. He wanted that moment. No point in giving K Dot fake props, its not like Kendrick needs any support

Wanting it is one thing but let’s be real, corporate America is going with the more feasible option at that time. Let’s look at some facts

Wayne has never been the best performer, he be doing weird sh1t on stage and the only reason we give him a pass is because it’s Wayne. In 2024 Wayne is washed. And before you mention 50 cent, that man has an undeniable world wide hit, even your grandma knows who 50 cent is. Wayne doesn’t have that. He’s big to hip hop but not worldwide. Back to the performance aspect, I can name multiple shows where Kendrick outperformed Wayne.

Secondly he has not kept himself, appearance wise the best he can. Dude always looks drugged up. Not the best image the want to put on stage especially for “white America”.

I been a Wayne fan way longer than Kendrick but you gotta be real with ya self when it comes to comparing them both.

At NFL events and in suites, performing at their events.

Kendrick is the type to make a statement and say something socially conscious that they don't like. Out of everyone in rap, Kendrick is the least corporate friendly. For Kendrick to perform, someone in the culture has to push for it.

It was less than 7 years ago when they were complaining about Beyonce sending a message during her performance and Kendrick as well as he performed with Dre.

Same with Eminem sending a message, but it was all a discussion.

Wayne has none of that. There is no concern of Wayne going against the script.

In fact, Kendrick just dropped a song that clearly shows he is not corporate friendly like what are we talking about here
