I’m sorry, but Wayne was the obvious pick this year. It’s not entitlement to say that, it’s really just a no-brainer. I understand his frustration, and I’m glad he focused his message to his supporters first and foremost.

People say it’s not prime Wayne, but the Super Bowl was playing old a$s rock acts during his prime years. This would’ve been perfect timing with the location, Wayne’s elder statesman status, and the focus on hip-hop in recent years.

sh1t, they had Dr. Dre and Snoop host the Super Bowl in LA, and everyone was on board for that despite Dre not putting out music for several years and Snoop being pretty much musically irrelevant, so idk why Wayne is getting so much pushback.

The only reason Kendrick got picked was the buzz from the beef and “Not Like Us”. I’m sorry, but that just isn’t enough for me to choose him over Wayne this year. It doesn’t feel earned, IMO, especially considering he hasn’t put out an album in close to three years now and already did the Super Bowl at that time.

I don’t really care who made the executive decision, it was the wrong one in my eyes. Kendrick could have it any other year, but this one just wasn’t it for me.

I keep saying this but these dudes who talk on here never know what they’re talking about. They think the Super Bowl is like where the hottest stars go to perform. It’s just familiar faces to keep you watching until half time is over. Michael and Prince are who made everyone think it was this big thing, and they were way past their primes at that point.
