They tried to straddle the fence and thought they could contend and build for the future at the same time and it's going to fu#k them like it has pretty much every team that has tried it.

That #2 pick could've gotten them a young veteran. And the 2 picks that became Kuminga and Moody. Imagine this team if they had sent those picks out to get some 25-28yo wings. They would be title favorites instead they're going to slowly fade and then will Poole and Wiseman and Kuminga pick up the slack?
