The argument for breakdancing being an Olympic sport is the same as gymnastics in that it’s still subjective and not as clear cut as running the fastest 100m or scoring more baskets vs Serbia.
As for the female floor routine, you still have elements of showmanship and dancing as well. As is synchronized swimming.
Olympics has always been a conversation of the sports of extraordinary ability. Whether athletic (track and field) or pure skill (shooting / archery ).
I’m in the dance world and breakdancing, at the highest level, is every bit as technical and awe inspiring. But maybe in Paris, we didn’t get those jaw dropping talents participate.
