I don't get how she's pandering. She's half black, half-Indian.

She went to an HBCU. She joined a black sorority. If she's pandering, she's been working on this narrative since she was in college? That doesn't make sense.

Maybe the reality is that she's black and Indian and she doesn't spend every minute talking about both sides at every function. It's not relevant. If she's at a black function, why bring up being Indian. If she's at an Asian-Pacific Islander event or something like that, she doesn't need to mention being black there.

What do people actually want? If someone says to her "Tell us about being Indian...", she's supposed to say "Nah, fu#k my moms. I'm only black."
