Most of y'all with the sellout comments do NOTHING for the community and don't even crack $50k a year...and put yourself on a pedestal like you wouldn't consider and take an opportunity to make 16x times that. Stop it. You wouldn't have taken the JSU job in the first place...

Sure I appreciate what he did for Jackson and HBCU "love" and wish he stayed longer...HBCU grad myself...but he can STILL advocate for HBCUs elsewhere. He did exactly what he was supposed to do...now it's up to JSU, Jackson and MS to build from that.

I'm very disappointed because he was building something at Jackson State and I really want to see HBCUs thrive but hard to blame him. It's a bigger program and he could get better recruits than he had access to at Jackson State. I'm sure the check will be way bigger too. I know they got Travis Hunter but at Colorado he could get 5 Travis Hunters in one class. I just hope he left enough roots to still make top recruits want to go there and or other HBCUs.

I’d love to see all the folks calling him a sellout turn down a job offering them a $4.7 million dollar annual raise for a job with better resources

And this is coming from someone that graduated from an HBCU. Deion made it clear from day one when the right offer came along he was gone. Can’t be mad at him for actually doing it when the time came.
