Wrong. Coaches can put players who choose not to play defense on the bench and not play them. Therefore controlling not only who plays defense but also drop the earning power of the players choosing not to play defense by not playing them at all

your not benching great offensive players for better defensive players. Thats like Portland benching Simons to play Thybulle more.

Bullsh1t. If you want better defense you will and if the other teams followed suit they could rid the league of entitled, crybaby children that are the problem anyway and replacing them with guys that appreciate the job and will work hard and do what the coach asks.
