Nice. Still not sure why MS went proprietary. But at least other companies can make them so that helps keep prices in check.

They went proprietary so that the SSD would have a longer use life and for the ease of use.

That honestly makes no sense. Make it so multiple companies can make it and keep prices lower. And how does it being proprietary make the ssd list longer?

The speed at which the SSD runs lengthens the life expectancy.
