Nov 27 - Compny fires all 2700 emplyees via txt the night before..2 days before thksgiving

Word is that the company also got millions in ppp loans as well. Fired them and gave them no extended health insurance coverage.

Management are pure pieces of sh*t

I work for Ford but I think about this often. How replaceable I am and I’m just a number. I’m trying to think of a way or ways to depend on myself of some source of an income.

Job security is really good at my job but anything can happen

I always tell people to never be loyal to a company be loyal to yourself instead.. They’ll use your loyalty to their advantage and you’ll be the one looking stupid when they either merge, change companies or just lay you off..

Damn. I think i rather be told this way. That’s just me tho.

I hope they land on their feet.

No. I think the sentiment is....they're just SAYING no one wants to work but at the same time companies are firing works by the tens of thousands. It's like a chick saying there are no good men out there but they curve or dump every n*gga that speak to them.

My cousin used to work at the one in Verona, Ms. Used to smoke with him in the parking lot on his lunch break when I was on leave. Glad my boi got outta there before they pulled this BS

The argument is companies complaining about not being able to find adequate staff while they treat their staff like garbage. This kind of thing is why I laugh at employers bi*ching about people that don't give two week notices when they quit. A lot of companies are getting exactly what they deserve.

Yep get a career.. THEN live below your means and invest. THEN decide if you want to further your career or delve into entrepreneurship..

If you don't have a one percent of one percent skill or enough professional experience to land a career opportunity the chances of your business succeeding are almost zero

which is why Im trying to get out of the plant and into a career
every 10-12 years, the big 3 start cutting back

I taught myself how to read financial statements, so I started reviewing them intentionally now. If the company's cash flow changes significantly, it’s time to look for a new job. Besides that, I check BLS.gov for careers in demand. I can’t guarantee it’s reliable, but again, intentionality is crucial as it applies to
employment. I learned my lesson before and got caught slipping when I didn't do my due diligence on the employer and the career.
It's too real out here not to be tactical.

The inventory surplus from higher interest rates could've been sold at reduced prices. It's supply and demand. Record sales after operating expenses and taxes doesn't mean record profits.

And then you shoving the divorce rate in my face

Your perspective is more of
“Hey there’s no good jobs out there”

“Hey. We’re hiring!!!”

“Nah. I’m good”

No one is rushing to fill a vacant spot.

However you see it or whatever makes you sleep better at night it still boils down to the same point. Companies are dumping people by the tens of thousands and then hiring the folks at a reduced unlivable wage. On top of that they're hiring less workers to do the jobs of multiple people. Corporate greed a mfkr
