I mean… tell me where I’m wrong. I’m open to a different opinion if you have one.
In my opinion, he lost the battle to push because his kid & adidas deal was outed via Kanye backdooring him. As far as bars, he stood his own.
As far as being solid, dude has the same team around him for a decade+ and I don’t know of any ovo, mob ties, young money or cash money people saying he did them dirty in that timeframe. I also can’t think of another artist at that level that has that type of track record for being solid. Most had to snake a few people/ deals to maintain their position.

Paint the picture you want homie. I can paint an entirely different picture of a racially ambiguous Billboard darling who found rather uncreative formulaic way of topping the charts for sure while completely sacrificing every ounce of artistic integrity when it comes to hip hop and being a true emcee.
Talented no doubt, but heavy on the high quantity low quality music, almost zero willingness to challenge himself musically (talking hip hop not the hnvm bs) and almost no real substance.
Either way I guess it's up to the viewer and what they ultimately view as HIP HOP. In my view Drake would never be close to my top guys in terms of Hip Hop from Pac, Nas, on down to Kendrick n Cole.
But to each his own though.
Sidebar: he got OBLITERATED by Pusha T in every way including lyrically, no excuses or caveats to that. Mans was dissected like a frog in high school
