It is sad though that considering how big of an alum Shaq is that at no point he reached out to Ben to check on him or just give him advice. I think alot of Shaq's resentment towards today's players is because nobody reached out to Shaq during his playing time to help him navigate through the issues he had. But to me I'd think that would be even more reason why Shaq would be that big brother/mentor to today's players.

It's nice that Jay Williams reached out to Ben but considering Shaq's stature, it would mean a whole lot more if it was Shaq being that guy imo

In this case I think it’s warranted and Shaq does this consistently. He calls out “soft” players and gives props to the ones that give their all no matter what, old and new..

Only thing I will say is Shaq is a little hypocritical because he didn’t like being called out by Kobe. I think he later admitted Kobe was right but at the time he was all in his feelings. But that was Basketball….Shaq still gets a pass on that cause he forgave Kobe for that hoe sh*t he did when Kobe got caught up….
