I'm writing a script on Lupe now and came across these as part of the research. It's not apples to apples, but if you believe music critics, their catalogs are close.

Yes, Jay is my fav rapper but I think Lupe is the goat rapper technique wise.

Jay's only mid is that rkelly sh*t & Blueprint 3 was aight. It's dope because he had the new wave at the beginning if their careers

more content and creativity in 1 lupe album than the camel's whole career. those are the facts. one plays it safe and the other does the opposite.

Lupe is too good lyrically so much so that he makes even Nas and Jay seem ordinary. However, he might be best served making his content more digestable. He really needed to dumb it down just a little.

Nah, his music is too niche. T&Y and Drogas Wave are only "classic" to Lupe stans, everyone else thinks they're just ok. Same with the latest one, it's an ok 3/5 album at best but his stans are making illmatic comparisons because Lupe was talking sh*t and feeling himself while he was recording it.

The only Lupe albums that can compete with Jay's discog are F&L and The Cool, neither of them are as good as Reasonable Doubt so to answer op's question, no.

All you have to do is search Twitter to get a view of the general consensus of the album. Almost everybody is saying how phenomenal Drill Music in Zion is.

My issue with Lupe is that he's so much of a backpacker he makes no effort to have commercial success, Keeping it a stack he hasn't been on radio play since Kick Push over 20yrs ago. Like damn we know he's talented why not aim to have hits smh.
