no one shopping for a flagship sedan is looking for a bargain
You'd be surprised. Rich people can be some of the frugal people. They're constantly about protecting their money and always looking for ways to not spend it to get what they want.

Lol maybe for new money. Plenty of old timers and savvy investors have already owned the standard flagship sedans and know the ridiculous deprecation and out of out of warranty maintenance costs a*sociated with them.

Hence why Lexus and Hyundai are so popular.

Very nice!!! I've seen a Genesis in person. They are beautiful cars!! And for the price, it's hard to beat; atleast in terms of something thats classified in the "luxury" category. I still prefer Lexus cars as my preferred number one luxury vehicle. But those Genesis models are still top notch imo.

You would be wrong. I live around a retirement community, I see quite a few Hyundai Genesis/G90s amongst the benzs and beemers.

I think what hooks alot of these people is the warranty gives them a piece of mind instead of copping a S class or 7 series and worrying about when sh*t goes wrong.

Put some respek on Lexusí name bruh.

Lexus and Hyundai should not be grouped together. You canít even group Lexus and Genesis together yet. Maybe in 5-10 years, but Genesis hasnít reached the same level of prestige yet. Lexus was respected as a premium name brand almost immediately after it was created by Toyota.

Genesis 5 yr/60,000 mi basic, 10 yr/100,000 mi powertrain warranty and Hyundai reliability (ranked #4 of all 32 car brands) make it 1 of the best values in the luxury car market.

Still, I'd take a Tesla over a G90 though.
Teslas are still expensive as fu*k. They sell you on incentives, but the upfront cost of Teslas are stupid.

I know people who bought a slightly upgraded from base Model S. They all got sucked in by the allure it no gas and maintenance, but in reality they're spending close to $1500 a month to own the car.

And NEVER EVER EVER get body damage on a Tesla. Those cars are a fu*king nightmare to get even basic sh*t like scratches fixed.

I convinced my brother to buy a G80. He copped the V8 with all wheel drive and he loves it. Sure it's not as polished as BMW, Mercedes, and Audi, and it lacks truly ground breaking tech, but it offers everything you could ever need and a whole lot more for a whole lot less. Plus that thing is comfortable, roomy, very reliable, and cheep to maintain.

I don't need to read that, I was alive during the time. Lexus respect when it started was much more than Genesis' respect a few years in. Lexus was an instant hit.
I was around as well. I have been a car enthusiast for years as well as mechanical engineer for quite a few OEM'S. I'm not arguing with you I'm just saying some people said that Lexus was just a Toyota in disguise.
