vinatieri won the SBs because Brady got him in position. do you think he kicked 90 yd FGs to win? no. someone had to get the team in range for him and it was brady. and if your gonna say he won all the SBs you gotta say he got you to the SB by single handedly beating the ravens because your boy manning didnt do sh*t that game

brady didnt win the superbowl in 2001 for them.. he had his best playoff game in 2003 against stl when he actually had to have the gunslinger mentality.. and in 2004 he played pretty average too .. not to mention the two games on the way to that superbowl he combined for only 350 yard on only 48 total attempts... all he did was manage the games he played in with the pats back then.. now he has recievers making plays for him ...

winning superbowls is a team effort. if people go by ur logic, trent dilfer & brad johnson >>> marino, jim kelly, and fran tarkenton. teams win superbowls, not QBs

your absolutely right..he had an average game in super bowl 38. he set a Super Bowl record for the most pass completions with 32. Brady also recorded a 66.7 completion percentage (48 pass attempts), 354 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 interception, and 12 rushing yards.

yea your right. just another average super bowl game for an average QB.

That's so contradictory. How were they even when Manning had better numbers. Now Brady's better because of his numbers this season.

Manning is the better overall QB. No knock on Brady he's just not better.
This article should end this debate

again your comparing players who werent the most important reason they won. Brady had a good defense but nothing like the ravens or the bucs. Look at them the year without Brady 5-11 and with Brady super bowl champs. They even got off to a bad start before he was forced to start due to injury to Bledsoe. But ya he was only as important to his team as Dilfer :thumbsdow.

U idiot in 2003 they played Carolina... They played STL in 2001... They were 14 point underdogs...

BTW... Peyton Manning stats last year in the playoffs

70.5 Rating, 3Td, 6Int's... He didnt even average a TD a game in the playoffs... But they won the SB... His overall playoff statistics are crap

18Td, 15Int, 61%, less than 80 QB Rating (2 years with a 30 QB Rating)

Brady on the other hand

20Td, 9Int, 61%, over 90 QB Rating (1 playoff game more than Manning)

Hmmm, Brady has better numbers than Peyton when it counts maybe thats why he has 3 SB's... Nah it has to be something else...

I see so Brady also has receivers making plays for him now and Manning doesnt??? How many incredible catches has Harrison, Wayne, Stokley made for Manning? fu*king Hypocrite

Jordan was a huge part of the team. But if you want to be critical you can say what did Jordan do without Pippen? If Jordan never came back after his first retirement you can make a case that the Bulls would have won again with Pippen as the leader.

Brady was a huge part of the Pats dynasty, but last time i check the NFL has a 53 man roster.
U idiot they lost the one year without Jordan...

Jordan was gone for a year and a half

They lost 1994 without Jordan and 1995 with Jordan playing half a year

^ lol...addai wasn't even supposed to be as good as he is. everyone thought they'd be done when james left but addai came out of nowhere, same with wayne. both of them emerged bc the guys they play with make everyone around them better...i.e. harrison & manning. brady is only ever as good as the talent around him...which is especially apparent this year bc he's got a good receiver in moss.

At Wayne not supposed to be good...

As a 4-year starter at the University Of Miami, Wayne set a school record 173 career catches (including 36 consecutive games with a reception) and is only one of three wide receivers in school history to post 20+ touchdowns in his career.

stop thinking about me...

anyway, MANNING has done everything (regular season wise) that brady has about 4-5 times more.... just check his 1st 3 years, w/o his greatest show on turf and w/o dungy, and those are better than any of brady's seasons... and he played most of his career w/o a defense

nuff said

dont get me wrong, brady LOOKS GOOD, {no homo} in a great system/cast.... but peyton {in all seriousness} is gonna shine in any system, with any cast... and he makes them look so good, that people think that everyone he plays with is hof-worthy w/o peyton... LOL.... how preposterous is that?!?!

people just dont want to admit that tom brady plays for the better franchise {since 2001}
{on a side note, you cant just say peytons offense = bradys offense... only 4-5 qbs have ever played with a player like moss.... and you cant deny that indy's offensive system is VERY HARD.. and harder than new englands}
U dumbass peyton had more Interceptions than Touchdowns his first year in the league with only 56% completion rate and a rating of 71... Way Lower than any of Brady's worst years...

Just STFU Maroon... Ur opinions are completely based on the fact that ur in love with Peyton and have sh*t to do with the game itself u prove it every time u post false statements like Mannings first 3 years are better than Brady's season... Just shut up and stay out of these threads ur too gay to make an intelligent comment

Indeed, that's why Terry Bradshaw is greater than Brady 4 > 3. Props?

You're suppose to be a skins fan but jumping all over Brady's nuts. Hypocrite!

Before Wayne came along Manning's numbers k!lled Brady's best seasons. Wayne didn't become a legit #2 until the '04 season. You people don't know squat Harrison was the only good receiver Manning had before Wayne emerged in 04' and Manning still threw for 4,000+ yards a season. The Colts had E.G. Green as a number #2 receiver for years and Qadry Ismail(with Wayne on the team) for 1 season. So don't sit here and act like Manning had tons of weapons for all his career. Since 04' Manning has had weapons but not for all his carrer like you suggest.

Qadry Ismail never finished in the top 10 in any major category.

Qadry Ismail is not in the all-time top 50 in any major category.

Same for E.G. Green. Also Colts had Jerome Pathon. I bet you don't even know who these guys are. Yet Mannings stats k!lled Brady's.
Yeah but he had Marshall Faulk to keep the defense at bay and then Edgerrin James...

Everyone is neglecting how important a good RB can effect a QB... If u have no run game its easier for teams to focus on ur passing attack...

But when u have a good RB teams have to play honest and its harder to stop even a good passing attack when that is the case...

So football isn't a team sport? When have you ever had to see Brady be on a team with a bad defense? When the Pats defense sucked in '02 they didn't even make the playoffs. So how can Brady be better than Manning when Manning go to the playoffs every year in the same conference as Brady with a sucky defense.
Manning didnt make it in 01 with a great offense...

Good point why was their defense sucky??? It was the same players and coaches... What was different?? Think about it...

This year with a crappy defense the PAts would still dominate every team because the offense is that damn good... They are averaging more points than any team in history

And i see how u failed to mention how that great defense sucked in 2000 with the same players and coaches, and the beginning of their SB year... Until a certain QB came in then they started winning all of sudden the pats have a great D... Get the fu*k outta here

I'd take Brady, he's put up comparable numbers to Manning with far less weapons. Imagine what Brady would have been able to accomplish numbers wise with someone as good as Harrison....... on second thought just look at the numbers he's doing this year!
