Hahaha!!! They are dead and gone let them rest. It has been made clear its not them or nobody else would release records. Get over that sh*t. 1997 was ten years ago. Them brothers are not on an island working on a secret album together like all you super fans think.:finger:
LEts see if anyone will remember Jay after he is gone.......nope

jay-z to me is the best overall lyricist up until the black album... after that he kind of fell off in my opinion. However, prior to kingdom come he did remain consistently hot ... he had a certain standard where you knew what to expect on every verse. You could be confident knowing the new Jay-Z song would be lyrically on point. Nowadays.. its a different story. That "blue magic" track isnt very lyrical in my opinion... nor was 50 % of kingdom come. I think it was a major step down from the black album. Its comparable to Jordan when he retired... he came back and yes, he did well for someone his age and still was a star.. but he could never match his skill level prior to retiring. I think dame dash just made a comment about that recently... and it is entirely true. Arguments can be made that eminem, big-L , Nas, Pun and others are on his level... however no one remained consistently lyrical and commercially succesful for as long as jay-z. The days of radio friendly singles that were lyrical are over.

There ought to be a law for anyone who turns a certain age to stop rapping and to quit making statements in the media like anyone cares.
after they pass that age law they should make 1 for all the **** music comin from Texas:D

It would be cool if the threadstarter had even an apprenticeship in English; unfortunately, he appears to be a manual labourer. The kind that aren't Anglophone.

^^^ c this is exactly what i was talkin about in another post

if it aint about guns, robbing, k!lling or any kinda shyt talking to make the rapper look hard then it aint nothing.

fu*k it ill even drop canibus for the sake of it...pun styll fu*kin k!lls any rapper lyrically which is enough to end this thread. Same wit eminem or does he not count either.

"This" is not "exactly" what you were "talkin about in another post", yada, yada.

Why not? Well, I'd wager I'm smarter than you & know more than you - not just about rap, but about most things. Don't feel bad though, you're in the same position as the vast, vast majority of BX. Taking this into account though, you cannot attempt to pigeon-hole me.

Furthermore, I'm smarter than Canibus, so I'm not impressed by him rapping gibberish with a thesaurus to hand.

Don't "drop canibus for the sake of it" - if you're not dropping him for his lack of substance, then don't drop him at all. Bear that mark of idiocy with pride.

Pun could rhyme very well. Never really said much, but could rhyme. Funny how you whine about guns or w/e, whilst at the same time bigging up Pun who rapped about...the appropriate economic model for Puerto Rico?
