people sayin Pac aint lyrical is mind-blowing

what about Violent?

2pac - Violent Lyrics

[2Pac]
They claim that I'm violent, just cause I refuse to be silent
These hypocrites are havin fits, cause I'm not buyin it
Defyin it, envious because I will rebel against
any oppressor, and this is known as self defense
I show no mercy, they claim that I'm the lunatic
But when the sh*t gets thick, I'm the one you go and get
Don't look confused, the truth is so plain to see
Cause I'm the n*gga that you sell-outs are ashamed to be
In every Jeep and every car, brothers stomp this
I'm Never Ignorant, Getting Goals Accomplished
The underground railroad on an uprise
This time the truth's gettin told, heard enough lies
I told em f!ght back, attack on society
If this is violence, then violent's what I gotta be
If you investigate you'll find out where it's comin from
Look through our history, America's the violent one
Unlock my brain, break the chains of your misery
This time the payback for evil sh*t you did to me
They call me militant, racist cause I will resist
You wanna censor somethin, motherfu*ker censor this!
My words are weapons, and I'm steppin to the silent
Wakin up the masses, but you, claim that I'm violent

"They claimin that I'm violent" -> Chuck D [cut and scratched]
"fu*k the damn cop!" [cut and scratched]
"Just because we play what the people want.."
"They claimin that I'm violent" -> Chuck D [cut and scratched]
"fu*k the damn cop!" [cut and scratched]
"Just because we play what the people want.."
"They claimin that I'm violent" -> Chuck D [cut and scratched]
"fu*k the damn cop!" [cut and scratched]

[2Pac]
The cops can't stand me, but they can't touch me
Call me a dope man, cause I rock dope beats
Jacked by the police, didn't have my ID
I said, "Excuse me, why you tryin to rob me?"
He had tha nerve to, say that I had a curfew
(Do you know what time it is?
Get out the fu*king car, or I'll hurt you!)
"Get out the car... or I'lI hurt you"
So here I go, I better make my mind up
Pick my nine up, or hit the line-up
I chose B, stepped into the streets
The first cop grabbed me, the other ripped my seat
They grabbed my homie and they threw him to the concrete
(Ay man.. aiyyo.. ay man just c'mon ?)
("What you doin man?") They tried to frame me
They tried to say I had some dope in the back seat
But I'm a rap fiend, not a crack fiend
My homie panicked ("I'm out") he tried to run
(Freeze n*gga!) I heard a bullet fire from the cop's gun
My homie dropped so, I hit the cop
I kept swingin, yo, I couldn't stop
Before I knew it, I was beatin the cop senseless
The other cop dropped his gun, he was defenseless
(? Arrrrggggh, fu*k you! Ungggh!)
Now I'm against this cop who was racist
Given him a taste, of tradin places
And all this, cause the peckerwood was tryin this
frame up, but I came up
Now they claimin that I'm violent

[Chorus]

[2Pac]
As I was beatin on a cop, I heard a gun click (uh-ohh)
Then the gun shot, but I wasn't hit
I turned around it was my homie with the gun in hand
He shot the cop (damn!) now he's a dead man
I said, come on, it's time for us to get away
(Let's go, we gotta get the fu*k outta here)
They called for backup, and they'll be on their way
Jumped in the car, and tried to get away quick
The car wouldn't start (damn!) we in deep sh*t
So we jumped out (C'mon let's take the cop's car)
We drove a little ways thinkin that we got far
But I looked up, and all I saw was blue lights
If I die tonight, I'm dying in a gunf!ght
I grabed the AK, my homie took the 12 gauge
Load em up quick, it's time for us to spray
We'll shoot em up with they own fu*kin weapons
And when we through sprayin (audi) then we steppin
This is a lesson, to the rednecks and crooked cops
You fu*k with real n*ggaz, get ya fu*kin a.ss dropped
So here we go, the police against us
Dark as dusk, waitin for the guns to bust (What's next man?)
What's next, I don't know and I don't care
One things fo' sho', tommorrow I won't be here
But if I go, I'm takin all these punks with me
Pass me a clip G, now come and get me
You wanna sweat me, never get me to be silent
Givin them a reason, (a reason) to claim that I'm violent...

tell me that aint some lyrical sh*t, just cuz he doesnt use 3 different rhyming schemes and multi's and metaphors doesnt mean he wasnt lyrical. Gotdamn some of you n*ggas baffle the sh*t outta me

Thats one song man....

I hate tupac fans. Some people hate Jay-z stans, Nas stans, etc. I hate pac fans. They constantly make the same argument, trying to make up for his lack of mic skills.

Who said that Rakim's songs have no meaning??

No I'm not hating on him. I really couldn't care less about him, I'm not a fan. I was defending Ra the whole time....

You haven't defended him here, but I'm sure you have defended him being emotional, connecting with fans, having real songs, etc.

Actually, i dont hate pac, I hate his fans.
Hmmm, so it remains that you have yet to say anything logical......

"Connecting with fans"
"Having real songs"
"Being emotional"
^^^^^^^:wtf:
You say that like all of those things are bad qualities in a rap artist.....and you say your not hating on him, but that is blatantly just a bold faced lie, anyone with a brain can just go through the logs of this thread and can see that your posts are filled with loads of easily avoidable negative comments about him. And no, you haven't defended Rakim "the whole time," sh*t there are plenty of posts where you don't even say 'Rakim' bro, your contradictions are annoying.....

My use of the word real was sarcastic.

Thats because I've mentioned him only when some says something. Notice how this has become all about pac and nothing about Rakim.

Once again you do a poor job of defending your comments. You say it's your only responding to what other people have said but you have to realize the only reason anyone even responded to you in the first place is because of your negative comments. Your opinion has been the least bit balanced, you claim that 2Pac wasn't a bad rapper but I haven't heard you say anything positive about him, it's all negative, every word has been. It's like this, not one rapper is flawless, even Rakim wasn't flawless, and it's the easiest thing in the world to point out ones imperfections. That's all you have done in this thread, anytime anyone expressed any type of opinionated statement, you had to tell them how wrong they were for thinking of such, unless they were in favor of Rakim.

Lol.... iight. I'll say it again, Pac was a good rapper with good lyrics, and pretty good song writting ability. His flow and delivery wasn't smooth at all, which makes him hard to listen.

His catalogue is good as well, but it nothing he did aside from makavelli joint was great, imo.

lol at rakim, i swear why is it that only in the internet do u hear names like rakim, joe budden and the million and one unknown muthafu*ker. tell me how many songs of rakim n*ggaz gonna be listening to in the 10 years. you put on a nas cd that n*gga put u to sleep, put a 2pac cd is your ide and everymuthafu*ker can relate to it. even old folks who dont even like hiphop can relate to it. 2pac is the bob marley of our time, rakim is an old news that is irrelavant and has no place in hiphop. 2 pac is better, scarface is better, ice cube is better, even nas is better than rakim. rakim=biggie=jayz=pdiddy=50cent are all wack and overated.
in 10 years? Rakim came out 22 fu*king years ago. His last great album was in 92. that was 15 years ago, and i still bump it.

rakim= 50 cent

Nice...were getting somewhere, now we can talk like civilized men since you now agree that people are allowed to have their own opinions & feelings.....

But yo, what songs are you talking about where 2Pac doesn't have a smooth, but rather "choppy" flow? I personally always thought his flow was dope....

Maybe it's his voice, and the fact that he was TOO emotional.
