Last movie that had me choked up was Reign Over Me

I think what it was that got to me is that there are thousands of families who still deal with 9/11 on that kinda level

When I was younger this movie called Benji the hunted made me cry every time i watched it. I also cried during lion king and the goofy movie.

Other than when I was a little kid, the passion of the christ got to me (as well as 95% of the theater).

Is the movie that intense?
It depends on how you watch it.

Believe it or not Portland has hoods, well not so much anymore because they have tore them down, and during my childhood my block and apartment complexes got shot up several times. Anyways I lived in a public housing complex for 3 years and used to walk down the street to go swimming at this other complex. One day there was a huge neighborhood bbq there and it got shot up, only one person was hurt though. I was about six and I seen the dude after he got hit and everyone ran for their lives and the gangmembers took off. I was shook from seeing dude bleed all over himself and I always think bout how horrible that sh*t was and I always complain that the US government doesnt do enough for the hoods here and they should fix things here first.

Anyways the first scene gave me chills. It really humbled any experience I ever have had of being in situations where some negative force is coming in and wrecking havoc and you hear about these suicide bombings so often that sometimes now I just graze over the headline and dont read it, but for the first time I really felt like I had an image of how bad that sh*t is over there, and 9/11 and things of that sort aside we are really fortunate that America is what it is and we aren't nearly as faced with sh*t like that.

Two girls walked out actually during a scene where Jamie Foxx is asking to interview a man's children that witnessed the attack and when you see it you will know why if you can be bothered by dialogue.

The end of the film is very intense as well but very entertaining. However the final showdown was really hard for me to swallow because the filmmakers really didnt hold anything back and Jamie Foxx had to make a decision that I know not one person in here would ever want to make.

Then what especially hit me are the very last lines of the film. There is a message in it, but it is sick at the same time because it shows the sick nature of man... and really when you think about it the bombings are done by religous fanatics and whats sad is religion is supposed to bring people together to worship and to love and understand, sadly most misinterperet it which can fuel hatred and seperation and events like what happened in this movie.

...now after writing that book lol. I really recomend you all go see the film, not only because I work for Universal but I really enjoyed it trust me (which you can cuz you guys didnt see me in here last week hyping Sydney White which was another movie I was working on.)

In Antwone Fisher when Antwone (Derek Luke) is reciting the poem he wrote, in front of Dr. Davenport (Denzel). "Who Will Cry For The Little Boy?".

I definitely shed a few tears, as I could relate to a lot of what was written..

Other than that, when I saw Life As A House for the second time (after my mom had recently passed away from Cancer).. Ohh sh*t was I feeling pretty sad and depressed lol..

Real talk.. :(

I didn't cry but I got kinda choked up at the end of Selena, that's a real sad movie.
Man on Fire kinda got me too I won't lie. But those are true stories, I couldn't see myself cryin or gettin choked up over no cartoon or a movie that I know is just based on a fictional story.
