This is my first Chamillionaire album I listened to ever & it's actually good. I thought he had a great single with "Hip-Hop Police." J.R. Rotem is a great producer & did a great job with the beat (with no samples!). Real talk, Slick Rick still has it. He came correct on his little verse on "Hip-Hop Police." He deserves wayyyyyy more respect than he gets. I like that Chamillionaire tries to break out of that southern stereotype & actually makes good raps. I loved how he dissed all the whack styles of "rap music." It made me smile. The beats were good on this album. Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5, way better than the T.I. album (which I thought was good as well). He may not be a k!ller Mike, a Ludacris, or a Bun B, but he works very hard to make a good quality album, which he talks about some real issues in America that get ignored. Hell, I've been bumping his album since I downloaded it & bought it yesterday. I hope he sells at least a million records, because it gives me hope that real music fans still exist & support real music.

Could be bumped up to a 4.5 after more listens.

chamillionare and ugk did it for the south this yr

Very true. Redeemed any wrong doing they did hip hop wise.

I'd give this album 8.5/10 - gave it a 4/5 on the poll. It's damn solid from back to front. Only thing I don't like is some of the songs are a little samey, and some of the choruses are a little grating/repetitive.

All my friends are really getting into Hip Hop Police and the single is taking off in NZ, so hopefully it takes off here as well. At least then it'd make up for it not getting the success it deserves in America.

I really hope this album sells more than it has. I copped it and I think everyone who digs it should also.
