Its not a issue of back packer vs. Dre...Its a issue of MUSICAL TALENTS...AND ITS OBVIOUS THAT DRE HAS CLASSICS, BUT HE IS OVERRATED BECAUSE OF HIS MAIN STREAM APPEAL...THERE ARE OTHER PRODUCERS THAT HAVE SURPASSED DRE'S TALENT LEVEL THAT DONT GET THE PROPS THAT HE DOES...IE..J.DILLA..A MUSICAL GENIUS..(AND U CANT SAY THAT DRE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS!..NO BODY HAS GIVEN DRE THAT TITLE YET, AND ITS A REASON WHY!!)

why do ppl always be like a person is overrated cuz he or she is mainstream if
it makes no sense i would love for a song i produced tio be mainstream most hip hop producers sample any way so where is their actual talent all they do is come up wit a nice drum pattern and loop or sounds dats it

a musical genius is a prince babyface jimmy jam terry lewis mufu*kas who play live instruments and write their own music even da nicca r, kelly plays his own instruments and writes his music

I feel what u saying, but you cant say that Dre doesnt get ADDMEDIATE CREDIT FOR HIS PRODUCTION BASED ON WHO HE IS...SAME GOES WITH JAYZ...JAYZ WAS PUTTING OUT HALF a.ss ALBUMS, BUT BECAUSE OF HIS NAME PEOPLE OVERLOOK SOME OF HIS BULLsh*t AND CALL IT GOOD MUSIC...SAME FOR DRE..DRE HAS MADE SOME BULLsh*t ALSO, THAT PEOPLE CALL CLASSIC, AND THEY BASE IT ONLY ON HIS NAME...

AND AS FAR AS MUSICAL GENIUS GOES, PRINCE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS, BUT WHY CANT JAY DEE BE CALLED A GENIUS...HE HAS PERFECTED HIS CRAFT AND HAS MASTERED PRODUCTION WITH HIS EQUIPMENT THAT HE USES (MPC ETC....) SAME WITH PRINCE..HE HAS MASTERED MAKING MUSIC WITH LIVE INSTRUMENTS...BOTH CAN BE REGARDED AS MUSICAL GENIUSES....ITS NOT WHAT U USE, ITS HOW YOU USE IT FAM...AND IN ALL FAIRNESS ..JAYDEE IS A GENIUS THAT DOESNT GET THE CREDIT

fu*k out of here typical back packer responces
WELL I CAN SPEAK FOR MY SELF ON THIS ONE... I BEEN ARGUING WITH n*ggaZ BOUT JAYDEE..WHEN n*ggaZ AINT EVEN KNOW WHO HE WAS..BACK WHEN THE UMHA..WAS PRODUCING FOR TRIBE ON BEATS RHYMS AND LIFE...I READ PRODUCTION CREDITS...SO TO SAY THAT n*ggaZ IS JUMPING ON THE BANDWAGON IS FALSE. AND IF U READ WHAT I SAID EARLIER IN THIS THREAD...I SAID THAT IT WASNT FAIR TO COMPARE JDILL AND DRE...THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT STYLES....READ WHAT I SAID EARLIER FAM.

jdilla >> hitek (Musically, and sample selection wise he's better)
Jdilla >> buckwild (Not even worth arguing)
Organized Noise = Jdilla (Thats a group of n*ggaz, not fair to compare)
Manny fresh <<< Jdilla (HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH)
Extra P = J.Dilla ( I love LP's sh*t, but as of right now..J.D's catalogue is sh*ting on LP's, but i got love for both of them..and to add to this, J.D is better on the Mic than Extra P)..

Neo-Soul is under R&B. I'm not one of those "Real Hip-Hop" dudes either. I listen to Clipse, DMX, Twista, Chamillionaire, David Banner, Dyme Def and alot more that "Real Hip-Hop" followers would cringe at.

You haven't heard J Dilla's beats and you even said here, so why do you belong in this discussion at all?
