if you do some excercises to tighten up the muscles underneath that flab, it will help your cause

do some side bends for your obliques, and all the usual suspect ab excercises along with dedicated cardio

Make sure you don't have any carbs within two hours of working out. The best time to workout for losing fat is in the morning after you wake up because your insulin levels will be at their lowest.

Grab a protein shake (just 1 scoop of whey should be enough) right when you wake up. Throw some carnitine (3-5 grams) in there as well. Also, try taking a green tea extract supplement (150-500 mg) with the shake... this will help increase your metabolism. After about 25-30 minutes start your workout...

WRONG.

the most effective way to lose weight is a calorie deficit of a clean diet...cardio can advance your weight losses but you also risk burning muscle when u do it so it shoodnt be your main source of fat loss

Well, yeah...you're right. If he is eating Big Macs, etc. then he wont get ripped. I figured that he had already taken the ultra-fatty foods out of his diet though.

You can't choose to lose fat in a certain spot, you need a proper diet and exercise routine to lose fat all over you're body, and the spot your talking about is the hardest part to lose.
Keep up the cardio and make sure your diet is right, theres a quote that goes something like... " Abs are made in the kitchin, not in the gym "

You get my point though lol, your diet will make or break your last couple pounds of fat you want to lose.

the high intesnsity interval training will do you god, also

if u build the muscles they burn fat faster

so try hanging leg lifts holding a 10 pound weight with your feet

also try reverse crunches, the plank, floor wipers, and laying bicycle

if you have a good diet, u should get cut with the HIIT in about 2 weeks

You cant be serious. HIIT cardio should be the staple of a weight loss routine. If good pre and post workout nutrition is maintained then that pretty much puts to rest any concern. And even If that styll is a concern then he would obviously go on a bulking routine prior.

Now nutrition is a big part of anything related in this field of course but its cut short when proper exercise is neglected.

No carbs within two hours of working out? Thats the first thing your body looks to for energy followed by protein and then fats and its based on how readily available they are for energy if i remember correctly..
