*sighs*

i say this again it is not called ghost wrting if the writer that writes the song for the artist gets credit
True enough, i think the purpose was though to bring to light all the artists who have other people write their songs.

Too many people roll up and lose it at me if i dare suggest *insert artist* didn't write their lyrics or even beats. Too much d*ck is being sucked on artists who dont deserve props.

'I lOVEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *insert artist* new Songgg. tHe BEATz da BESZT1!'

bi*ch, they didnt write the song, or make the beat. Like the Jay/Still DRE, the doubt people have casted over it in this thread alone, was something people spoke about a lot when the song dropped, people dont know...

Here's the highly requested Gillie Da Kid research I could dig up.

Again, sorry for the wait…he was complicated to track stuff down of because, while his real name is Sar’d Nasir (after he turned Muslim)…he often signed copyright applications as “Far’d Nasir” and/or “w.f.h of Tristan Jones” as HIS name. I have no idea why he would mis-spell his name only on ALL copyright forms. Other than trying to hide the 'ghost-writing'...my only explanation of this is – in the business, W.F.H.= Work for Hire, and Tristan Jones was a manager/producer at Suave House Records. Since Gillie Da Kid once had a recording deal at Suave House, I’m assuming Tristan Jones was Gillie’s manager while there, and he retained at least a majority of his publishing & masters. I’m hypothesizing this because, even on more recent copyrights of stuff Gillie wrote at Cash Money, this “w.f.h. of Tristan Jones” is often signed as a claimant name. Coincidently, Gillie’s registered publishing company name is - Money In The Pocket, Inc…the same company that registers 8Ball’s written work as well. This was a pretty challenging and fun person to look up.

Gillie Da Kid (Sar’d Terry Nasir*) [WB Music Corp./Money In The Pocket, Inc.]
Mase’s “The Player Way” (8Ball/MJG’s verses) co-wrote by Gillie Da Kid & 8Ball
8Ball & MJG’s “Speed” co-wrote by Gillie Da Kid & 8Ball
8Ball & MJG’s “Intro” co-wrote by Tristan Jones & Gillie Da Kid
8Ball & MJG’s “Paid Dues” ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
8Ball & MJG’s “Armed Robbery” (Thorough/Toni Hickman/Big Duke verses) ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
8Ball & MJG’s “Belly” co-wrote by Gillie Da Kid, Tristan Jones, & 8Ball
Ms. Toi’s “My Dogs & My Locs” – ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Major Figga’s “Yeah That’s Us” (whole song) co-wrote by Gillie Da Kid, Tristan Jones, & T. Lovelace
Boo & Gotti’s “Freestyle” (on Fast/Furious sdtk) – ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Boo & Gotti’s “Baby Girl” – ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Boo & Gotti’s “Ain’t It Man” (whole song) ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Boo & Gotti’s “Ride Tonight” – co-wrote by Boo, Gotti, & Gillie Da Kid
Juvenile’s “Lil Daddy” – (Baby’s verse) – co-wrote by Boo, Gotti, & Gillie Da Kid
Juvenile’s “Bounce Back” – song/verses co-wrote by Juvenile & Gillie Da Kid
Big Tymer’s “Back Up” – co-wrote by Juvenile & Gillie Da Kid
Big Tymer’s “We Can Smoke” – ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Big Tymer’s “I’ll Take U There” – (Ms. Toi/Big Tymers verses) - ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Baby's "What Happened To That Boy" - (Baby's verse) - ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Big Tymer’s “U Are Not A Pimp” – ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Big Tymer’s “Dirty D-Boy” – ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid
Big Tymer’s “Southern Boy” – (Lil Wayne/Big Tymers verses) co-wrote by Gillie Da Kid & Bun B
Nelly’s “For My” – (Nelly’s verses) co-wrote by Lil Wayne & Gillie Da Kid
Lil Wayne’s “Get Down” – verses/hook co-wrote by Gillie Da Kid & Lil Wayne
Ginuwine’s “Hell Yeah” (Baby’s verse) - ghost-wrote by Gillie Da Kid

Whattup...yall that's all the copyright appl. info I can find on him...like I said he was a little difficult because he signed the forms with different names and ish.

Now --- I'm neither a Wayne hater nor a fan...

but Gunit-Finest...Lil Wayne ain't a fraud at all. While Gillie Da Kid did do a bulk of writing for Cash Money as a company...you are talking about 2 Lil Wayne verses (Aint It Man & Southern Boy), and 1 track (Get Down)...so Gillie did make it to be alot bigger than it was. If anything, I think he played in integral part in training Wayne how to write better, with a more comfortable flow - so I give him credit on that. But, Wayne has wrote a bulk of his newer more advanced material on his own, and now writes for others....so you can't discredit lil' homie like that. Now, BEST ALIVE...I'm definitely not with that...but one of the most improved in the last 5-6 years -- yea, I can definitely can get down with that.

This sh*t iz so fake... i got the whole interview in The XXL book with BIG on the cover from 03' and they talkin about the recording of the Whole LAD Album..... they broke down every song and when they were speakin about last days i remember the LOX sayin.. how they were new in the game & how they were jus happy 2 be in the studio with biggie doing a song.... and how BIG verse k!lled their verses.. and how they took there time writing their own verse... so does it make sense that same dudes jus coming in the game would write for someone who had a status as BIG had.... i dont know where u got this bogus as sh*t from but you need to take it back..... they sh*t is hella fake......

Harold L is the truth for real. I worked with him on a song off the "in the mix" soundtrack that was featured in the movie but not on the soundtrack..

free advice
*all artist need split sheets when you enter a studio. if your recording anything with mulitple producers a split sh*t which details percentages(of work being done on a project) is mandatory, or you will be a bitter person watching someone get credit for your work*

For Stormtrooper & Zhiggeman -- another free advice tip is:
If/When you get taken to court, know the difference between a compulsory license, and a blanket license, and don't be happy when you are 'awarded' a compulsory license. It'll ruin your day.

PS --- I'll work on R Kelly tonight...any more good suggestions I should look up?
