Word no doubt Stormtrooper...I'm not really feeling Dream either. He's a decent writer...but, I think he gets more credit than he should cause he's part of a production team with him and Tricky...that's how he gets so much work.......but yea bro, you're welcome to name some more heads anytime for me to look up.

PS - I'm still having a hell of a time researching Skillz, because this cat literally files each song under different variations of copyright & ascap writer names: Shaquan Lewis, Shaquan Donnie Lewis, Donnie Shaquan Lewis, Don S. Lewis, Donnie S. Louis, etc...Plus, homie doesn't even own all the copyrights on all his own tracks. The legit research I can find of his is for songs from his "From Where" album which was maaaad long ago. I'm finding the obvious copyright forms for Will Smith, Shaq, Diddy, a couple co-writing credits on some Roots songs...but other than that...it's not ALOT at all...Something tells me he doesn't have as many as he made it seem....I'm gonna keep looking though.

Thanks for all your input so far homie.

"This proves he dont know some the sh*t he is posting
...because I forgot a "2"???
...wow...homie, I've screenshoted enough on here to prove the sources I'm getting this from...prove people right/wrong.

PS - While ASCAP is a good source, you also gotta cross-reference it with the filed copyright app. Just to educate you.

But if it makes you feel better; you are right; and I corrected it.

To Jepsu.....read this, where I had to explain to people before...

Ne-Yo's real name (Shaffer Smith) & registered publishing name [Zomba Music, Inc./Super Sayin Publishing], is on the filed copyright app., not TQ's (Terrance Quaites). Also, for the record, Neyo's birthday is October 18, 1982. According the copyright app, "Westside" was released in 1998, and was originally written in 1997 - making Neyo about 15 years old. Now, if his bio is correct, he was born to musician parents in Arkansas, and started writing lyrics at the early age of 9. His parents first starting sending songs Neyo wrote to Prince when he turned 12 years old. So other than the proof of the OBVIOUS name on the copyright, I have no problem seeing someone buying a song from him in 1998, at the age of 16 (not that young in the music world). Believe what you wanna believe though.

(filed copyright screenshot) See for yourself right here:

the only one that can speak on this that I see making logical sense is StormTropper.

Much like him, I have worked at and with Sony Records, as well as some work at So So Def, while it was still under the Sony imprint. My Hear My Voice Urban Talent Service Database is coordinated by Beverly Martin, Dir. of Regional Promotions at Sony. So trust me -- I'm speaking from 9 years of experience.

If you read my whole post - you'd see I too said 'most' ghostwriting used to be kept as unknown as possible --- One mistake you have though is -- the original ghostwriter does retain copyright registration for the tracks...and that's where the smoking gun ALWAYS is. (Go research Cardan...(you spelled his name wrong) who used to be in Harlem World...just like you said, the tracks he did write for Nelly, as well as Foxy are credited through the Library of Congress. VERY VERY rarely do they not retain authorship homie. You should know this.

Pimp...YES, BIG did use ghostwriting...it's well documented all the cats he's hooked up for helping out...go do some homework. Even if it's not a WHOLE verse written, nearly all artists get a.ssistance on a major label. So don't be so shocked.

RIP, that's cooo, you are like 3 minutes from my crib right now....as for people I've worked with, I run a database that Beverly from Sony coordinates...so I work with many regions. My biggest 2 successes is selling a beat to Brian McKnight and a beat to Mario Vazquez. Locally, I've sold 2 beats to Triple J...and I'm working on a project with Kimillion (Killa Kim).

yoo what about this Lil Wayne allegations and Gillie with the Carter Lp's ??....u got any legit info on that particular situation??
