I'm sorry guys but if the so called "Hip-Hop Heads" got their way the game would be worse, yall act like having fun is against the "hip-hop law."

People who enjoy hip-hop are only supposed to be in the mood for serious sh*t and punchlines or whatever. I agree the game isn't as good as it could be but there is nothing wrong with songs like "Wipe me Down" or "Bay Bay" if you think its the record companies making us look like monkeys I think the artist are the ones who came up with the songs and I'm sure they are dances and sayings they use down in that region.

What I hate about these gays a.ss record company people is the lack of promotion for the traditional artist or the lyricist they get no push while the repetitive crack, violent, dance(which doesn't bother me as much because its not negative but just fun) sh*t hits the airways once a week and stays there for months.

For every crack song there should be a song of substance on the radio, but the record homo's aren't trying to hear that sh*t so whatever.

Yall weren't saying sh*t when jigga was Big Pimpin and Dame was dousing hoes with champagne. Or when puffy n Bad Boy was dancing around like idiots in shiny suits just to appeal to a wider audience. Or Snoop was sippin Gin n Juice or trying to keep his pimp hand strong for the hoes in his stable. So get off of artist's d*ck now.
yup pretty much sums it up right there, music is a form of entertainment, none forces anyone to listen to the type of music they dont want to, turn the raido/bet off and put on your preference of music.

both songs are representative of exactly what's wrong with music. it does frustrate me that this is what rap has resorted to. Apparently the only way to get radio airplay is to snap, have an accompanying dance with your song, have a catchy yet overtly ignorant hook, and/or generally ****-off.
its not about us muthafu*ka. its about them makin it into the game and makin some money. snap is hot right now and if thats what get Radio play then thats what it is and thats what they gone do to get money.

okay who are you to say that your music is more important than someone else's? you're not in any position to tell anyone off....Since when is hip hop about not having fun? the problem people have with hip hop is the s3xism in it's music and the way we treat are own women did you make that point? no you say it makes us look like porch monkey's you're saying it's because of it's lyrical content or lack thereof if you were so concerned about black culture you wouldn't have called out rap in forum in front of a bunch of WHITE PEOPLE anyway because that not uplifting us thats using us to make yourself seem smart and like you care...your not changing anyone's mind and thats multiplied by the way in this topic you gave everyone hate and blasted there opinions you don't have a open discussion you are trying to preach to us... like bill Cosby you know that nobody is mad at him and Oprah because of what he said people we're mad because he who he said it in front of a whole bunch of other people who care nothing about our race other than make it a headline "Bill Cosby doesn't care about black people" and that's what your doing you are nothing but a misinformed child who listened to much public enemy and think you can save hip hop. you want to save hip hop Continue to buy CD's because we bootleg our own sh*t and sell it to our self's that's why
  1. Record companies don't like to promote conscious artists
  2. Hip Hop doesn't sell as much as rick and pop etc. and ring tones because most people don't know how to bootleg ring tones yet
  3. So in turn artist make ring tone song instead of music with content
  4. Hip hop isn't dead you can't k!ll it but you can't eat off rap anymore

and in defense of southern music it isn't all party music A. but B. if it was thats what hip hop was about until it made a darker turn years ago because of the conditions of the world which was ok because it was real..now most artists who rap about slinging crack lived in middle class home etc. so what do we do we rap about having fun and it's a problem no wipe me down are not good songs but that is a far as it goes....you seem to think that no one is as smart as you but i ask you why say this people like you only make us like weak as a race and cause inf!ghting..What the last CD's anyone has brought in this topic?

I know. It's a catch 22. I'm a DJ. We cant get people to dance if they dont feel the music. All they know is the mainstream sh*t played on the radio.

I promote the local artists as much as I can. I fit them in all the time. We got a rap scene out here that's really poppin, so I really try to promote it. Problem is, most of these kids never heard the sh*t. They heard "I know you see it" before they heard "U C It," the original sh*t that we made up. (fu*k whoever made "I know you see it" for swaggerjacking)

sh*t is awful and needs to be eradicated...and anyone that likes these songs needs to wake up to this sh*t as being poison...If you can't see whats wrong with an illiterate big a.ss white t romping black male calling women "A Bay Bay",then I don't know what's wrong with you.

But then you same people jumped on Don Imus when he sh*tted on black women...but when Hurricane Chris calls them "Ho's" it's okay?...you people are pathetic.

Lol da fukk is a Hurricane Chris? A WWE Wrestler?

Than we have Lil Boosie...I don't even want to get started on this fool still living with his mom and throwing 60 grand down infront of a camera...idiots...

Yall Hip Hop Elite n*ggaz are funny. Wipe me down and Hey Bay shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

Boosie, Foxx and of course Webbie got actual skills and they made a club song. Hey bay bay is just a catchy song by someone who most likely wont be able to reproduce a hit.

Go listen to your classics, and shut the damn Radio/Bet off.

"an illeterate big a.ss white t romping black male"? hmmm dat sounds like ur refferin to about 90% of the hip-hop game...n lol at u thinkin he's goin round caliin women "ho's" hes shouting out a dj by sayin "ay bay bay" ..n even if was callin women "bay bay" isn't it betta den callin dem "ho's" like most rappers...

and about the don imus and ho situation and it bein ok when hurricane chris says it? not once did he call women "ho's" in dat song..hold on not only did he not call women "ho's" but i dun even rememba hearin him sayin any cuss word throughout the whole song...

da fu*k is hurricane chris? da fu*k is uncle murda? u can already tell da negativity and ignorance he's bout to put before u even listen to 1 of his songs..

and for da threadstarter..yea yea da songs are ignorant but so is almost all da otha songs dat are put out by other artist...u dun think listening to rappers call women ho's and sayin a cuss word in every other line isn't as ignorant?

music like "ay bay bay" "wipe me down" o wuheva is jus meant to b club sons..music dat u have fun listenin 2..n if ppl choose to listen to dem den dats dem

If you are actually defending the music we are talking about (ay bay bay, wipe me down, etc)...you have no credibility...and you must be young.

You realize it's the SONGS you are defending and not the artist. Hurricane Chris will be no one in a few months. Dem Franchise Boyz...where you at? DJ Unk will be gone. Young Berg will definitely be gone.

If you realize the artists of these songs can ONLY make these type of songs. Could you take Hurricane Chris seriously if he were to go out and make a real song? Rapping about something OTHER than ay bay bay?

Could you take Dem Franchise Boyz seriously spittin about ANYTHING other than stupid dance moves and why people like them?

You ignorant fu*ks are not taking time to recognize the artist, rather you're just defending the song, which is ignorant to begin with, because you like how you can move to it.

Can you see a knowledgeable...successful...WEALTHY person listening to ay bay bay?

Hip hop is going through some rough times...

That kind of sh*t really should stay in the club. Or, is it harder for the radio to get money for Viagra ads if no-one knows the words to Lupe, Mos Def, or The Roots?

I kinda agree, but then again he brought up the two songs not the rappers i agree you're perfectly right about the artists thought they suck...I just don't think he should be saying hip hop is dead because of that

Could you take Dem Franchise Boyz seriously spittin about ANYTHING other than stupid dance moves and why people like them?
no but the type of music they make doesn't make them a bad artist the franchise boy aren't good musicians because they lack the mechanics a rapper should have...
