hahaha. My n*gga.
He was probably thinking about his money. fu*k the rap game is his mentality.
He sold drugs to make money, quit that to rap, now he's making more money being a mogul. Rap is done for him. I doubt he'll be trying to stay relevant ala Jay and Nas. Them n*ggaz had their shine.
I don't think longevity works in rap today. n*ggaz have too many different styles that correspond to too many different fanbases and generations. Play some old obscure 80's sh*t, and today's teenager will be like "turn that wack sh*t off". I foresee the same thing happening in another ten years. n*ggaz like Joc, Nelly, and 50 probably won't appeal to the future rap fans.
This is why n*ggas are like "Hip hop is dead"....Stevie Wonder tore the shiit outta his performance, because he cares about the quality of his craft, not how much guap he got....It's a shame n*ggas today devalue hip hop...fukkin half dead azz Rollin Stones are like 70, but still fill over 100,000 seat capacity venues....they haven't been relevant in about 10yrs, but still make crazy money....why? because quality material leads to financial success, not the other way around...fukk these kids w/a gnat's attention span...disposable azz lifestyles are sad...in the end you keep searchin for something hot instead of something stable & letting quantity over rule quality...nobody is young & hot forever...That's why I respect an artist like Lupe...dude cares about his craft & has integrity about his work...I can't believe hip hop has devolved into this sad state...
