damn, still feeling the ill effects of last night...

now i know that our chances of moving into the Top 3 were slim, something in my gut told me we were gunna somehow land Rubio. Luckily for us, that still may be possible. who knows how Ricky's situation will unfold, although i'll still hold out hope, i'm ready to move on and scout the rest of the draft.

this draft selection wasnt SO bad...the top talent in this draft stays out in the west and we didnt fall back any draft spots.

i hate all this Steph Curry talk but I wouldnt be opposed (believe it or not) if WalshToni thinks he's "their" guy. i'll always have my reservations about him though.

but like last year, i'm going to ride a misused and defensive minded athletic pg out of UCLA...Jrue Holiday is now at the top of my board as of the current. (**Born** you know how much i wanted Westbrook last year)

next couple weeks gunna be interesting though...the offseason has officially begun!!!

although Layden was horrible in his own right setting this franchise back with moves for Shandon Anderson and Howard Eisley among many others...it was definitely Isiah who traded away this pick

In 2004 Isaiah Thomas traded Howard Eisley, Antonio McDyess, Charlie Ward, a 2004 draft pick, and a future protected draft pick to the Suns for Anfernee (Penny) Hardaway and Stephon Marbury (who is now getting paid to sit behind the bench in a suit).

A month later, the Jazz traded Keon Clark (who?) and Ben Handgloten (also who?) to the Phoenix Suns for Tom Gugliotta and that Knicks first-round pick. Here are the Protections for that pick: Protected 2006=top 25, 2007=top 24, 2008=top 23, 2009=top 22. Unprotected in 2010.

you gotta look at the intangibles he brings on both sides of the ball. dont let his numbers confuse you. he was stuck behind darren collison while starting alongside him out of position. he's a TRUE pg. ben howland's system is not suited for his style of play. Jrue is the 2nd best PG prospect in this draft behind Rubio.

i wouldnt mind using the 8th pick to trade for Steve Nash either. Nash has said to want more money in his "extension" with the Suns, knowing the Suns are cost-cutting and realizing they may have to move on without giving an extension to the 35 year old guard.

could Nash ask for a trade in this offseason? we all know he has an offseason apartment in NYC. tell me he aint havin lunch wit d'antoni!

Duhon + Mobley (expiring/insurace covered) and the #8

for...

Nash + #14

looks about right to me

then we can take T-Will @ 14 :agreement6:

or draft a Johnny Flynn or Jrue (doubt he's still on the board at 14) to be groomed by Nash as the successor

only if the 14 is included. otherwise i dont want nash on this team now, or in 2010
