The Knicks problems are varied, but none are more glaring than point guard Chris Duhon's horrendous slump. In the first two months of the season, Duhon was arguably the Knicks' most valuable player, executing the pick-and-roll to perfection with David Lee and directing an offense that became one of the best in the league. But his effectiveness has slipped, from averaging more than 8 a.ssists in November and December to 7-plus in January and February and now just 4.7 in the first three games of March. Duhon has been out of sync since Feb. 11, when he skipped a game to rest a sprained left ankle. In 10 games since, he has averaged 9.5 points, 6.4 a.ssists and 4 turnovers. This dismal stretch includes Duhon's only scoreless game of the season. D'Antoni has entertained just about every possible explanation. It could be fatigue: Duhon has already played a career-high 2,329 minutes. ... Duhon is proving why many NBA types felt he was a backup. New York needs to go get a point guard. -- NY Times
:applause::applause: bout time boohon gets put on blast

if the knicks were smart they would tank the rest of the season, get a nice pick in the lottery, and draft a point guard... sherron collins anyone?

then package duhon together with jeffries and trade them for a delicious bag of ruffles

would be PERFECT for this team...but if he declares, there would be almost NO CHANCE IN HELL he would still be there if we were to pick outside of the Top 5
yeah..ever since the draft since u couldn't stop talking about dude and i did my research plus the Olympic games, dude would be perfect.....still got hope though since the trend might continue this year....guys with the worst records haven't ended up with the first pick and ppl similar to what our record could/might be, seem to be in or close to top 5.

just relax with the whole Duhon is the evil nonsense...dude is obviously worn the fu*k out, never has played this much at this tempo and he's basically the ONLY pg we've been using for real the whole season. where was all this hate in the beginning of the season when he was playing fresh...we still need a real PG to have both of these two take turns running shifts or something. Nash was just a freak of nature

Duhon isnt the problem nor the solution...he is what he is - a STOPGAP. just like we all said in the beginning of the season.

he will be a perfect backup if we chose to extend him past 2010

The Knicks could be shopping for a backup point guard this summer, and they may find one in Milwaukee. Ramon Sessions is having a breakout season for the Bucks and will be an unrestricted free agent. He already has ties to the Knicks, having played high school basketball under the Knicks a.ssistant Dan D'Antoni. -- NY Times

Former Warriors and Nets guard Marcus Williams could be worth some consideration by the Knicks this summer, though they would have to first take into consideration Williams' character and how he would fit in as a teammate. -- Newsday

Eight months have passed since the Knicks made Gallinari the sixth pick in the draft. He is the franchise's best prospect in decades and the face of its future. But he has been limited by a back injury all season, and his development has taken a back seat to the Knicks' pursuit of a playoff berth. With those postseason hopes fading, it may only be a matter of days before Coach Mike D'Antoni makes Gallinari a starter and broadens his role in the offense. D'Antoni sees star potential in the 20-year-old Gallinari and is eager to give him more responsibilities as he prepares him for next season. -- NY Times

Six Knicks legends, each representing a different decade, will be honored during a halftime ceremony March 23, when the Knicks play the Orlando Magic at Madison Square Garden. The team's alumni relations department chose the following greats: Carl Braun, representing the 1940s; Richie Guerin (1950s); Willis Reed (1960s); Walt Frazier (1970s); Bernard King (1980s); and Patrick Ewing (1990s). Each will be presented with a "legends ring." Everyone but Braun, who has health issues, is expected to attend the ceremony. -- NY Times

The Knicks are waiting until 2010 to honor a player from the current decade. Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell are the most obvious candidates, having anchored the Knicks' last winning teams. -- NY Times

The Pistons might be without forward Rasheed Wallace on Wednesday night against the Knicks because of a strained left calf.

Wallace suffered the injury on Monday night against the Magic, and had a precautionary MRI on Tuesday.

"Whatever Arnie (Kander, strength and conditioning coach) tells me, we'll go with it," said coach Michael Curry, who considers Wallace day-to-day.

Detroit will start either Kwame Brown or Amir Johnson in Wallace's place if he does miss the game.

The Warriors waived point guard Marcus Williams on Wednesday night, and the Knicks could take a look at him this summer.

There have been reports about Williams having issues with his personality, which would explain why he hasn't hung around very long with any NBA team.

New York, however, did consider taking him with the 20th overall pick in the 2006 draft, but opted for Renaldo Balkman instead.

DUMBleavy's face at the end is CLASSIC!!!

i read a funny quote on realgm about DUMBleavy and the Clips....

Dude, I can just keep watching that clip over and over. It's been a long long time since an NBA highlight made me feel this good to be a Knick fan. We had become the new Clippers. Now the Clippers are the Clippers again and life is good.

Happiness comes in small victories, and today I'm all smiles.

isnt it funny how people still hate on this team when we've CLEARLY made MAJOR strides in only ONE FULL SEASON???

gettin rid of that REDICULOUS MAX CONTRACT, the No-D CHUCKER...2 career losers ON THE SAME DAY makes Donnie Walsh the CLEAR FAVORITE for Executive of the Year.

-not to mention he was able to unload Jerome James
