The Knicks have enough headaches as they enter the All-Star break on a six-game losing streak. The one they could have easily nipped in the bud - Stephon Marbury - still festers. In 11 days, Marbury and Knicks brass will legally dispute the $400,000 fine he was tagged with for allegedly "refusing" to play vs. the Pistons on Thanksgiving Eve, according to a league source. The Post has learned a hearing has been arranged in New York on Feb. 24 that may require Mike D'Antoni to miss a Knicks practice to testify against Marbury, who was banned from the team after being docked $400,000 in pay. -- NY Post

PlaintiffBury still lingers....id LOVE to see him traded at the deadline...his expiring is way too valuable...if not...oh well, let him ROT at home. NO BUYOUTbury

just got home so some ppl who search for news might have gotten their hands on this one but neway...

Stephon Marbury and the Knicks will reportedly meet to discuss the $400,000 fine the point guard received for allegedly "refusing" to play in November.

The New York Post has learned that a hearing has been arranged for Feb. 24 that may require coach Mike D'Antoni to miss a team practice in order to testify against Marbury, who was banned from the team after the incident.

Marbury has offered to drop his appeal of the $400,000 fine if the teams accepts his $1 million giveback, but president Donnie Walsh has not budged, wary of him joining the another team.

not sure if ya got it down there or could get the MSG channel....they talked about a reason for this like a month or 2 ago...and u'll notice he salutes after free throws now...the story for this is because he played against some random kid on COD and the kid didn't believe it was Nate Robinson so Nate said he's gonna prove it's him by saluting after every free throw and i guess that's why he just said COD lol

btw....

there is also a strong rumor that has the knicks trading Malik Rose for sac's Brad Miller....

this trade straight up doesnt work according to the CBA so there will be other players included in a deal to match salaries.

but this is a strong rumor out of knicks camp

New York, according to sources, is in play for Kings center Brad Miller with an offer involving forward Malik Rose's expiring contract ($7.6 million). -- Sac Bee

Knicks superfan Spike Lee, one of Nate Robinson's biggest supporters who regularly shows up in a Nate Robinson jersey at the Garden, told The Post last night from his courtside seat at the All-Star Game, that he would like Robinson and David Lee to remain with the team. "Here it is," he said. "I hope somehow Donnie Walsh can work his magic, can get what he wants in 2010 and still re-sign Nate and David Lee." -- NY Post

Brad Miller, one of the best big man passers, would not mind him rocking the Knick jersey since he played with the old Kings teams that ran the similar offense. Miller for Rose straight up don't work so maybe the Knicks would either have to get a third team in or they would have to make the Kings offer another person so the Knicks can offer another person.....cause to make things even with these two guys, Knicks HAVE to offer Lee or Nate

Under different playing style i would say YES.....current playing style, HELL fu*kING NO!!!!

According to people close to Shaquille O’Neal, the Suns center would welcome a trade to the Knicks if such a deal could be worked out.

O'Neal is due $20 million for the 2009-10 season, but will then become a free agent. A trade would save the cost-conscious Suns, while not interfering with New York's plans for the summer of 2010.

The Knicks have indicated that they are interested in Brad Miller or swingman John Salmons, with the potential players coming to Sacramento including Malik Rose ($7.6 million expiring contract), Nate Robinson ($2 million expiring contract) and Jerome James ($6.2 million this season, player option for $6.6 million next). New York also is believed to have told the Kings it has no intention of trading exiled guard Stephon Marbury and his $20.8 million expiring contract. -- Sac Bee

Possible top picks in this year's draft include Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin, Connecticut center Hasheem Thabeet, Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio and Arizona State guard James Harden. However, because the Wizards already have such huge financial commitments, there is a decent chance GM Ernie Grunfeld will consider trading the pick. -- Washington Post

an example of what i was talking about, a big market team like the Knicks can really take advantage of the smaller markets...look at this potential 1st pick

if anybody is hoping for Nash to come to NY in 2010, they better pray that this 3 team trade doesn't happen with the Suns, Bulls and Raptors that would send Amare to Toronto, Bosh to Chicago and Gooden, Tyrus to PHX (probably 2 more players moving) cuz if Amare is in Toronto and Nash says he would consider Raptors or Knicks in 2010, Toronto might have a slight advantage since they got his running buddy
