This album is good, but not a classic...
There are 3 tracks that keep this album from being a classic and they are...

You cant k!ll me - a pointless track, why does he need to be doin tracks like this, this far in his career... sound like he tryed to do Biggies Warning track.

Play On Playa - once again a pointless track, why does he need to be doin tracks like this, this far in his career.

Hustlers - had good production, but sound like Nas was bored with this one... what does Soul Plane got to do with anything.

Other then that the album is on point... 4/5

Time will tell if this cd will amount to classic status, but it's a damn good album.

Maybe one of Nas' most concise and well-rounded albums.

5 out of 5.

The album has a great message...but WHY Nas? WHY are you chosing these WACK a.ss BEATS??? That's why the fu*k Hip Hop is Dead because your letting basketball players handle your production instead of droppin classics with DJ Premiere. What the fu*k mayne?? That's a disappointment.
Nas, the best lyricist, but the worse judge of production...Damn.

3.8 outta 5
it's cuz of the new label. they always use whack overproduced sh*t. DJ premiere is the sh*t, which album did he use him on?

I don't get it. You're complaining that Nas selected bad beats. Then you're saying hip hop is dead cuz ppl focus too much on beats. You're making it seem like hip hop is dead cuz of ppl like you?

this is a great album and it has everyones attention. some of the beat i wasn't really feeling but this whole album had a point and it didn't seem like he was trying 2 please a certain audience it just sounded like he "WENT IN" on this album. it wasn't as big as street's disciple (which is a good thing) and it wasn't as bad on the production side as god's son. this really is the best album that nas has put out since stillmatic. it was soild, daring and very creative and just what we as fans and nas as an artist needed.......a foot up the a.ss. 4.5/5. 1

I thought I was the only one that did not like the song with Snoop. And someone suggested that this be the next single.

But I don't know what you are talking about, the Hustler's joint is fire. Game came correct with his verse and that was one of Dre's better beats this year, hell if it wasn't for this we wouldnt have heard Game on a Dre beat ever again.

You can't k!ll me was kind of stale though. So i'll give you props for 2 out of 3.

Illmatic, It Was Written, I Am, Nastadamus, Stillmatic.... then he stopped working with him.

Oh well, hopefully Nas' next album wil be the long awaited Nas/Primo album.
