"4. Jay-z: Kingdom Come
High point: Beach chair
Low point: Hollywood or Anything (depends on which is single 3)
Like with every jay album of late you are either gonna love it or hate it for some reason (I'll give you a guess) however this one truely falls in the grey area of his collection it has points that are great, points that are blah and points where jay is down right lazy one things for sure this album is not for the younger crowd ( 20 and under stay away ). I'll start with the great, when jay is on his game he's on his game The standout tracks IMO are "beach chair" the flow is stupid on that ,"do you wanna ride" and "Lost Ones" these tracks are the best album has to offer as far as lyrics goes with "kingdom Come" "and "Minority Report" as an honorable mentions. Tracks like "dig a hole" '30 something" and "I made it" are going to be in that grey area where some like them and some don't I happen to like all three. Now on to the bad Depending on which on becomes a single the bad is either gonna be hollywood or anything they both are wack to me simply because they aren't needed atleast I see why he did hollywood though. the lazy award goes to "oh my god" this is a good track but I feel jay could have k!lled this harder than he did next would be "trouble" for pretty much the same reason as "Oh my god" also I think dre was kinda slacking on the production side of things but hey jay ok'd it so, The overall production ranges from Great to lazy aswell chris martin produced "beach chair" comes off as wierd at first but its brilliant at the same time, Dr. Dre brings the album down with "trouble" I think jay shoulda got 9th wonder to do that joint, "Minority repor"t and " 30 something" are both solid efforts from dre though, "Do u wanna ride" is another love/hate beat its cool but I think kanye did better work for nas and lupe, Swizz came through with a banger on "Dig a hole" but Just blaze gets the award for best produced tracks he k!lls it back to back to back with bangers, Oh my god, kingdom come and show me what you got. This is not jay's best effort he could have done better but this is easily one of 2006's best and jay holds his own with his peers its a good album that grows on you but its not great like some of the others I listed."
